Il Capriccio serves a constantly changing Northern Italian menu featuring local products with an award winning Italian wine and Grappa list. Though long considered a local secret, Il Capriccio has been the number one Northern Italian restaurant in Zagat's for the past seven years. The wine list has been featured in Decanter, Sante, Wine & Spirits and Stuff. The same menu is served in the Bar. We like to serve great food and great wine in a comfortable setting. For peace of mind in Covid time, our three brand new, state-of-the art, Mitsubishi air handlers employ MERV Level 13 filtration, just one step down from an operating theatre. We also have a patio for al fresco dining, reservable by phone only, weather dependent.

    Il Capriccio offers a number of options for private parties. Our Lombardy and Romagna private dining rooms seat 10-14 guests each. Sicily semi-private dining room seats 34 and Tuscany seats 30; combined they seat 64. We normally reserve private parties in Sicily and Tuscany on weekday evenings only.

                                                        We had a Valentine’s Day dinner, which was wonderful: attentive service from Ann, and all the food was delicious. One thing we really appreciated was not feeling rushed — sometimes you can go to a restaurant and the food is good but you are spending lots of money, and you’re finished in an hour! Not the case here. Definitely recommend Il Capriccio.

                                                        The food was special! Arancini! And the halibut was great too. My husband had the schnitzel and loved it. And the staff is even better! I love that we got to see jan, our favorite sommelier! She gave us a suggestion for a great new wine for us.

                                                        Everything was wonderful. We had not been here for a while and we really enjoyed it. The table was not a tiny little table for 2 that often happens in restaurants. The tables are not on top of each other - which really appreciate. Food was great from the appetizer (tuna tartare) to the entrees. I had halibut which was excellent and my husband had the venison chops which were really tender. The server was excellent and very personable. We will be back!

                                                        Our dinner at I’ll Cappricio was excellent. The veal was superb as was the apple/vanilla ice cream dessert. The wine our server recommended was great! Wonderful way to celebrate my birthday.

                                                        In addition to being delicious, I was so grateful for how gracious the staff was. I had included in my reservation that I would be on crutches in order to request a low top table. In addition to this, the staff helped me navigate the restaurant, gave us a four top to ensure we had space, and allowed us to use a different door to exit that had better access to the parking lot for navigating around. The food was delicious and the service was great, but the consideration for our unique situation was what we appreciated most.

                                                        Just tried for the first time -- loved it! Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. The saltimbocca is amazing. We also loved the monkfish, pastas, and chicken spaetzle. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Nice interior with a noise level that didn't hinder conversation. Will return.
