IL FARO means "The Lighthouse." We envisioned being just that: a beacon in the Albany neighborhood, a safe haven from the stresses of everyday life. Strength and serenity. Creating food that please all of the senses. We believe food should look beautiful, smell amazing and taste delicious. Superior service. The staff was great. We were seated close to the bar area which was a bit noisy, but overall all a very nice dinner.

We were warmly welcomed by hostess and that exceptional customer service continued throughout the meal. We felt genuinely appreciated for dining at IL Faro. All components of the meal were very good. It was also nice to have desserts priced at $10 or less so we could get a small sweet bite to complement the meal. We would definitely be back.

As always, everything is perfect. Hands down the best restaurant in the 518. You’re treated like a loved one, the food is FANTASTIC, and the quality is outstanding overall.

Cozy, friendly environment. Excellent food selections. Loved the Eggplant! Guest of our devoured the shrimp Scampi. Resonable prices too.

Wonderful owners, always welcoming and friendly! The food is delicious with a truly diverse menu. Wait staff is spot on always paying attention to your needs. Bottom line, Il Faro is a place that delivers a pleasant dining experience!
