Since its inception in 1986, IL FORNELLO Restaurants has always been at the forefront of offering classic Italian fare with a modern flair. We were the first to introduce wood-fired oven pizzas to Toronto and one of the first mainstream restaurants to introduce an extensive plant-based menu. Known for its pizzas and pastas, each of our locations has special menu features tailored to its community and diners. Our menus also accommodate a wide-range of diets, from dairy-free to gluten-free – there’s something for everyone!

We will be featuring Chef's Specials with table-side shaved truffle. Please note, all tables will have a two-hour seating time, with seating times at 4pm/6pm/8pm/10:30pm. Lovely restaurant in the refurbished "Sheridan Mall." So nice to have a quality eatery in the neighbourhood. Love that they have a Happy Hour plus specials. Our server (wish I had got her name) was outstanding. My husband dropped his knife on the floor and she noticed from across the restaurant, then brought a new one immediately. The food was tasty and I enjoyed my cannelloni. My husband had the lobster pasta which was also good but tiny pieces of the "canner" shell got into his meal as he removed the exterior. That's the only reason for a 4 out of 5 on food and value.

Took a few minutes for our server to come to our table initially but after that the service was very good. Calamari is excellent especially with the two different dips. Pizza’s are pretty good. Pasta are fine. Very well priced wines which makes a dinner for two very reasonable and therefore very good value.

I had a bad experience, the service was slow, lack of staff the bar tender was my sever she was busy at the bar counter and was serving out table. Today morning I had severe stomach pain and loose motion. I believe the food was not fresh.

Food is great here. Have done 4 times here already and have not been disappointed. Pizza is great and so are the pastas. Service is polite and efficient. Hope they do well as we need more dining in the area 👍.

This is the second Tuesday in a row where or group has spent almost $800 in two a weeks on two seperate birthday occasions. Both nights happen to be Tuesdays which is all day happy hour. Last night we realized after coming home that we were charged full price for our pizzas that were from the happy hour menu. Based on our bill total we assume we were charged full price last week also but hadn’t noticed. We returned to the restaurant to inquire (as no one was answering the phone). The manager on duty was far from helpful only handing the menu stating “vegan pizzas are $4 more each”. To our surprise, we don’t recall seeing this listed anywhere on the happy hour menu, being told by our server or any reference to “exclusions apply” with regards to all day happy hour 2 weeks in a row. After further discussion and support from the lovely Bartender, it was agreed to refund $50 on our almost $400 bill. Rather disappointing that we were met with such resistance to being overcharged on our bill and left us wondering how many others just assume the total is right and pay the full price. We’ve come to love IL Fornello and the food but we will certainly be watching our cheque more closely in the future.

Il Fornello has continued to refine the restaurant since opening. It's now become a top choice for a nice evening out to either unwind from the week or celebrate an event. Great client experience.

Always so delicious and wonderful service. Free parking and great drinks. Perfect spot to meet up with friends or have a beautiful family dinner.
