Our starter bread was very hard and some pieces had red sauce splattered on them when we first sat down. Our table was dirty and covered in some kind of spinach / lettuce and crumbs. The margarita I ordered was so sour I couldn’t drink it. Margarita Pizza was so undercooked you couldn’t eat it, the basil was old and the mozzarella was flavourless. The Caesar salad was fine but was served on a hot plate which warmed up the salad, there was also brown pieces of lettuce we had to pick out. The fettuccine Alfredo was alright, but there was a very concerning piece of meat in it that we also had to pick out. Our server was friendly and kind, but the whole dinner felt like a waste of money, especially as we had gone there to celebrate our anniversary.

When we first arrived the complimentary persecco was a nice touch. The food however was very disappointing…lamb chops were not a rack as stated on menu and taste was very different. Reorder of chicken Asiago and it came undercooked. Server was very apologetic and manager came and apologized. Overall it was a really bad New Year’s Eve dinner. I doubt very much that we will ever go there again.

I have been dining at the various Il Fornello resto locations in Toronto for many years. All of them very good w consistent quality. This is NOT the same! Menu yes, food quality no way. The pasta was soft and overcooked, sauces below average. Salad overdressed and ?chicken squares? Not great. Sorry this is not the Il fornello I have come to enjoy so much in Toronto. Hard pass!

Depending on what you order, the food varied - good entries but Calarmari starter was tough. Lamb was excellent. No atmosphere to the place which was incredibly disappointing - very sterile and dull. Service was good but not rushing to go back.

We had a wonderful experience tonight. Although there was only one server on and she was new she did a wonderful job at managing to get to all of her tables, Be super friendly, extremely helpful and had a smile on her face the whole time. our meals were yummy and plenty of food!
