Il Toscano means “The Tuscan”, and is a perfect representation of everything I am, and all that I love about my home land in Italy.

My name’s Matteo – head pasta maker, chef and owner of il Toscano. I was born and raised in the countryside of Tuscany, and although I’ve now lived in Australia for over 9 years, my passion for all things Italian has never been stronger.

Nor has my passion for sharing it with Australia and the Central Coast. I noticed that while there are a lot of outlets serving Italian food up here, they’re largely not hitting the mark when it comes to quality, authenticity and traditional local Tuscan food.

Our mission is to bring people together for an amazing Italian experience with good food, wine and good times and share with you my strong passion and our local traditional cuisine as if you were in Tuscany.

    My wife and I have had dinner there many times and the food has always been excellent. We have taken many friends there with us and their only isssue was the price of the alcohol. We have all agreed that the service is also very good and friendly. My opinion is if you like authentic pasta dishes well you will have to book a table.

    Outstanding as always with this venue. Matteo and his staff always deliver excellent service and the food is amazing.

    We were searching for best places to eat near Long Jetty and Il Toscano was one of the top choices. We had our anniversary dinner here. The restaurant was accessible, just along the main road. Waitstaff were friendly. Though the restaurant was packed, they made sure that each of their guests were served. One of the best fresh pasta I’ve ever tasted! Must try and will definitely come back when we visit the area.

    Beautiful restaurant. They are clearly passionate about providing their guests with the best pasta in Australia. Manildra flour makes all the difference. Each shape of their freshly made pasta is matched to a beautiful sauce. The Italian wind selection is excellent. Don’t miss this amazing experience.

    We went to Il Toscano Long Jetty last night, the food was amazing, authentic Italian, could not fault a thing. We will definitely be going back again.
