   The food here is consistently excellent. The service on a Saturday night was a bit slow and drink orders were not taken until we had been seated for a good twenty minutes (seems like hours when you are sitting at a table with only a glass of water in front of you!). Other than that, we would highly recommend Il Vecchio.

   I would’ve given the highest five rating had the woman who served me my margarita, not lied and said what was around the rim was not salt. I admit it was spicy and lemony, but it was salty too. My order was without salt.

   This is our regular (4 to 6 times a year; we don't live here full time) go-to Italian restaurant in Pacific Grove/Seaside/Monterey/Carmel. Last evening's meal for us and two guests from Seattle was exceptional. With pasta and bread made from scratch, it has always been consistently well done. Italian Caesar and Poached Pear salads were well executed, and all ingredients were balanced. Bread service should be ordered. Four people, four meals: Orecchiette Boscaiola, Lasagna Romana, Osso Bucco and Braised Short Rib Polenta were all prepared well, and portions were generous. Our waiter was consistently attentive and helpful without being every present. Can recommend this establishment without any doubt you will have a pleasant experience.

   Had a wonderful family birthday dinner. Food and service were great. We had a really nice experience. Very happy!

   We had a wonderful time this evening. The food and service were excellent, and we loved listening to the music of Ted Welty, who was amazing. My only complaint was that he didn't play loudly enough given the venue. Management should ask that he play louder in order to be heard.

    My wife and I enjoyed our meal at Il Vecchio. There were so many good sounding choices on the menu, it was hard to decide what to order, but I ended up with the saffron seafood pasta, which was delicious. We also split the beet salad, which was very fresh and nicely seasoned. We split a tiramisu for dessert, which was one of the better ones I've had. They also have a very nice selection of wines by the glass, and their bar makes solid cocktails. Definitely look forward to coming back at some point to try some of the other options on their menu.
