Built in 1880, The Inn was at one time a brothel, until it was raided by federal officers. The Inn was a favorite site of cowboys and teamsters, who appreciated the fine foods and jovial atmosphere.
Over 100 years later, the Inn at Tres Pinos is now a San Benito County Historical Landmark, carefully restored by owner, Mike Howard. The ambiance is intimate, rustic, and elegant. It’s country with a touch of class, and decorated in a style that is a reflection of Mike’s personal interest. Mike's grandfather taught him the the art of fly-fishing, and every year the family still fishes together at the Big Wood River in Sun Valley, Idaho. Mike married Mary along the Big Wood River in 2010, and the Inn has become a true family affair. Mike’s philosophy is “Keep it fresh and keep it simple.” His staff is personally hand picked and will make every effort to meet your expectations. The Inn at Tres Pinos is the only four-star restaurant in San Benito Country.

We had a great dinner. The appetizer calamari was amazing! The chicken lemon soup was so yummy. Our dinners were great and I loved their kids menu for our kids. The dessert was so good. Highly recommend!

Dinner was great, and service was excellent. Kids loved their steak dinner. It was cooked perfectly and the fries were delicious. I got the pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes and a gravy. That gravy was ridiculously delicious! Hubs got the steak with mushroom sauce and it to was delicious. We ordered the 6 shooter of bullets (jalapeño poppers) they were ok.

I recommend the wedge salad, any of their soups, King Salmon special and Filet Mignon. All their food is excellent!

My husband had the prime rib and he said it was one of the best he has ever had. I had Beef Wellington and it was amazing. Drinks, dessert, service, everything was top notch as usual

We struggle to hear the l o n g description of the specials. Only one of the 4 of us could hear or understand the quiet and slow speech of the waitress. After ordering it took 90 minutes for our entrees to arrive. It was a busy night, however another party arrived after us and got their food much earlier than we did. Not sure when we would have been served had we not asked another waitress to send our waitress to the table. Our waitress didn’t come by at that time but the neighboring waitress reported back that our food was on its way. Five minutes later our waitress brought out two entrees, went back for another, and after a few more minutes we got the last one. Thank goodness the food was good. Rice was lukewarm but everything else was delicious.

New Years Eve dinner was exceptional. We had the Beef Wellington, so damn 👍. Service was great, the Inn was packed but everything went smoothly, everything was outstanding. Kudos to the staff!!
