Built in 1880, The Inn was at one time a brothel, until it was raided by federal officers. The Inn was a favorite site of cowboys and teamsters, who appreciated the fine foods and jovial atmosphere.
Over 100 years later, the Inn at Tres Pinos is now a San Benito County Historical Landmark, carefully restored by owner, Mike Howard. The ambiance is intimate, rustic, and elegant. It’s country with a touch of class, and decorated in a style that is a reflection of Mike’s personal interest. Mike's grandfather taught him the the art of fly-fishing, and every year the family still fishes together at the Big Wood River in Sun Valley, Idaho. Mike married Mary along the Big Wood River in 2010, and the Inn has become a true family affair. Mike’s philosophy is “Keep it fresh and keep it simple.” His staff is personally hand picked and will make every effort to meet your expectations. The Inn at Tres Pinos is the only four-star restaurant in San Benito Country.

My husband order their Cioppino and stated it was the best he has had. He was disappointed to hear that they only serve it on Christmas Eve.

Dinner here was a real treat. It had been many, many years since we were there, and we decided to make a trip over to eat there again. From the moment we walked into the cozy atmosphere, we knew it would be worth it. First class service at the bar and in the dining room and the food was fantastic. We will be back... wish they were open for lunch!

it was our anniversary and we had never been there before. Easy booking online, choice of where to sit and excellent service. The food was amazingly delicious and order the minestrone soup was so comforting too We will be back !! Thank you for a wonderful dinner!

A busy Saturday night dinner. Fortunately we made reservations as they were booked past 8:00. Our waiter Thomas did a good job explaining the specials, & paced the dinner service as we requested. My Mahi Mahi special was enjoyable as was my wife's steak. Her mixed cocktail was delicious, but high-priced for a small drink. We've driven 30 miles each way twice in the last 2 weeks to enjoy eating here.

Every thing was great! We requested 2 rib eye steaks when making the reservation and The Inn had them ready for us. They were cooked perfectly. Service was great too. We were there about 2 hours. It's our go to place for a great meal!
