insideOUT is Hillcrest's elevated restaurant and lounge, and San Diego's only urban oasis! We are an 18+ venue.

Reservations for our upcoming "Sweetheart Experience" are now open! The Experience will be February 5th - 16th!

Our menu is curated by Executive Chef Johnny Duran and is updated seasonally to reflect his creative approach to California-Mediterranean inspired fare, using the freshest ingredients provided by our local purveyors.

Aside from our impeccable hospitality, insideOUT is known for their over-the-top seasonal experiences. We also provide customized private event planning with venue buyout options. More information can be found on our website.

    We missed the holiday oasis experience. It was still a nice vibe. Dishes were surprisingly well priced and good value. Seated right away with a reservation. Drinks were delicious.

    Great experience. Party of 8 we all received our food at the same time! YAY!! Even with one of our ladies arriving late. Food was very taste and a great temperature. Portions where great for the price paid. I will definitely be back!

    Super hard to find parking, the food is good and they have big portions but on the pricier side. Might be more worth it come back when the whole place is decorated?

    We had a great brunch! Drinks were amazing, Monte Cristo sandwich was SO GOOD! We will definitely be back. Venue is beautiful, staff is friendly.

    It was our first time there and we enjoyed the open air concept. The service was impeccable, shout out Thomas. The food was delicious and we can't wait to come back!

    It was a bit loud but it was perfect. Fast service they kept our water refilled , I have an onion allergy and they were very quick to get me a new meal with no problems they were very kind and attentive . Just amazing customer service over all I recommend this place to anyone who is in San Diego . Don’t walk , RUN !

    This is a stunning location with exceptional service and delectable cuisine. I particularly enjoyed the experience of slicing my steak on the hot volcanic plate, allowing me to cook it piece by piece to ensure it stayed hot. If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, I recommend requesting a table near the elevated fire pits, away from the din of the restaurant.

    We really loved the space! It had a great, almost club like atmosphere. I ordered the filet mignon, which I had to cook table side. It was brought to me on a hot stone. It came with rustic potatoes, best potatoes I ever had. My fiance ordered the chicken breast, the chicken was very bland and dry, he was pretty disappointed. Over all great experience, staff was very friendly, will come back.
