The owner of this restaurant is a true entrepreneur and great establishment owner. We were fortunate to get to meet him last night. He is a true gentleman. The food was excellent, I would recommend the salmon, chiken capers or the steak with fries were excellent. They have a wonderful wine list to choose from and the specailaty drink are to die for. The servers are truly amazing and super friendly. 10-star establishment all around.

The food, service, and everything was good. But then they tried to grossly overcharge me for a drink. It took 30 minutes to get a revised bill and the charge was still high.

Hello Derrick, John O'Neill here, owner of Intermezzo. Thank you for visiting. I'm happy you enjoyed your experience. With that being said, I would be remiss if I did not touch upon your perception of a computer programmimg error. We just had a new Point-of-Sale sytem installed and unfortunatly the programming company made a few progamming errors. In no way did we "try to grossly overcharge you for a drink". That is not how we do business here at Intermezzo. After speaking with my team and reviewing our security cameras, I see that it only took a few minutes to correct you bill. With regard to you thinking the price of your drink was "still high"... I dont know what to say to that. We charge market rates for our generous pours. My apologies if you find that expensive for your taste.

The food and the wine were excellent as was the service and the ambience. The only reason I removed a star is that it is extremely expensive $18 for a half a glass of wine seems a little over-the-top to me.

We love sitting in the inner courtyard which has a very Spanish feel since it is planted with flowering vines, wrought iron light fixtures and arched windows. We were nice and cozy with plenty of heaters too. We mostly go to Intermezzo before a concert at the Lobero, but should go more often just to enjoy the food and ambience. They make a great Oyster’s Rockefeller!

The girlies celebrated international nationals women’s day at this wonderful restaurant by sipping delicious cocktails and French rosé under the twinkling lights in their beautiful courtyard! Service by Molly was wonderful and the food was fantastic! We started with the Poutine for the table as a share and it didn’t stand a chance! Gone in 60 seconds! The cask burger, chef pizza, French onion soup, crispy sea bass, ahi tuna appetizer and little gems Caesar salad were all so delicious! A truly classic and hip restaurant in Downtown Santa Barbara! We Love the vibes!!

Best pizza in SB without a doubt. We enjoyed the Chef Seasonal pizza of prosciutto, creamy burrata and shaved asparagus. Really fantastic. Onion soup is wonderful also. Our server Andrea was very nice. Highly recommend Intermezzo. It gets very busy on show nights so plan accordingly to make it in time.

Welcoming, great service, warm ambiance, attentive staff, food was perfect. Even the other patrons were friendly and warm. This was our first visit but we were made to feel like regulars. We’ll be back.
