Came the day after Valentine’s, so the restaurant was still busy with celebrators. Started with a couple of drinks at the bar—unfortunately, the old fashioned was nothing special; I’ve had much better. We were initially seated at a small two-seater right in the draft of the front door. I asked to be moved, and they kindly accommodated us with a larger table further back, offering a nice view of Coronado (though we lost the downtown view). Still, the setting was pleasant. For food, we ordered the lobster bisque, filet trio, and the 38-day New York strip. Surprisingly, the best part of the meal was the bread—absolutely delicious! The lobster bisque was too thick and creamy for my taste. The filet trio was served on cold mashed potatoes, and the steaks weren’t cooked evenly. The New York strip was disappointingly tough and gristly, lacking any standout flavor unless heavily doctored. I didn’t bother sending it back, as I just wanted to eat and move on. On the bright side, the staff was excellent—very friendly and attentive throughout the meal.

Table and staff were great. Food was good but the steaks were subpar. My steak was charred and burnt on the bottom so bad I had a hard time cutting through it and made the whole steak taste like charcoal. My wife’s steak was ordered medium but came out well done as very dry. I don’t like to complain but it’s $85 per steak and last time we came they were melt in your mouth.

The food was delicious and fantastic!!! The service was just okay. I didn’t think our server was that attentive to us. I actually had to get her attention to order coffee and dessert. It seemed like she was giving the customers with alcohol drinks more attention which is not right. The busboy was very attentive. I wanted to thank him when we left but I didn’t see him. It’s been a few years since we’ve been here and the prices seem considerably higher but then inflation for food is up so we understand restaurants have to raise their cost.

This was the best dinner experience I ever had I want to come back again for every single occasion I have. It was beautiful and all the staff was so very pleasant. The food is amazing as well. Best valentines experience ever!

The only comment that I will bring up is the table setting, we were sat down on a small round table, I do understand it's a busy occasion and trying to accommodate every customer but we felt we seated to close together with other tables. We are regular patrons of this restaurant and this is considered fine dining. We were just a little bit surprised I guessed. Our server Patrick was very kind, we appreciate that.

We had a wonderful experience for Valentine’s Day. The food was delicious and our server, Desirae, was great and very helpful with all of the questions we asked. The pre fixe Valentine’s Day menu had multiple selections, I was not expecting the variety. Everything was great, I look forward to returning and exploring the full menu.
