Italica is a unique, intimate hidden bar/restaurant with outstanding Italian cuisine. Our dishes are served tapas style and are meant to be combined and shared with others in your party. We have several dishes on and off our menu that are vegetarian and vegan friendly. Enter through the silver door on Miles Avenue to the right of Indio Taphouse.

Due to our limited capacity, reservations are required for dinner service. We welcome walk-ins at the bar, based on availability, and encourage late-night walk-ins to join us when possible.

To ensure that all our guests can savor our exquisite offerings, WE ALLOCATE A 90-MINUTE DINING TIME FOR PARTIES UP TO SIX PEOPLE.

Please note that Italica is an adults-only establishment. We kindly ask that our guests be above the age of 18 and are dressed appropriately.

Strict seating policy, make a reservation throughout winter season. Food was good and delivered as ordered. Wait staff was friendly.

Great “speakeasy” ambiance, fantastic wine and delicious food—one standout dish was the meatball appetizer—made for a promising start. However, where things fell apart was service. While mostly friendly, it was slow and disorganized—appetizers arrived after an hour, the staff fumbled orders, and dishes and service items were whisked away too soon. The biggest disappointment came when after those initial delays and fumbles, when the host bluntly told our party we had “monopolized the table for too long”. Understanding the need to turnover tables in a busy space, but one tactless comment can ruin what should have been a special senior birthday celebration.

Metallica is a welcome addition to downtown Indio. But definitely has a cool factor and is a beautiful restaurant. We had reservations for two, but I had friends that wanted to join us at the last minute and we were seated at the bar. Not super comfortable. Barstools don't have backs and of course it was difficult to visit when we were all at the bar not at a table. The food was delicious, but unfortunately ours got served about 10 minutes before our friends so that was awkward. Very nice staff. I think they will get better over time. We will try it again later.

Superb drinks and food. We enjoyed the fig flatbread, Caesar salad, vodka pasta, warm toffee cake and espresso martini! All superb choices!

Italica never disappoints! The ambiance is fantastic, the drinks and appetizers are delicious and expertly made, and the main courses are always spot on! It's perfect for an intimate, special occasion or meeting a group of friends for dinner. The entire staff makes you feel special from the moment you walk in, until you're ready to leave.

Our second time there, and it did not disappoint! The service, the ambience for Valentine’s Day, and the food was outstanding. The weight staff was very prompt and courteous, and this is quickly become one of our favorites!

Service was fair, food was “ehh” after discussing appetizer options with our server we decided to order the NYstrip as an appetizer, we were not aware this was served “raw” we were expecting a cooked seared NY strip. When food was delivered to our table it felt rushed. When reserving our table we specified we were celebrating a birthday, waitress did not acknowledge this. Overall, would give this place another shot as we believe everyone deserves a second try. (:

Food and service was outstanding! I can’t wait to return to try other items on their menu. While the restaurant is small, they fire up big flavors and quality in every dish. Absolutely a fan and encourage you to try this place if you haven’t already.

I hesitate to say how much I love restaurant, but only because it is fairly small and I want to return again and again. The food was excellent, and everything I want in an Italian restaurant. Great service at the table and at the bar. The decor and lighting are tasteful and romantic and the black and white photos add a dash of excitement to the proceedings. Patrons are encouraged to dress nicely, which is a welcome relief!
