Located on the third floor of B.B. King's Blues Club overlooking historic Beale Street you will find Itta Bena "A unique delta experience". Whether entering from our private Second Street entrance or walking through the secret hall from inside B.B. King's Blues Club, Itta Bena is sure to capture your senses. The experience is further heightened when you step inside and find yourself surrounded by rich wood floors, vaulted ceilings, deep golden hued chandeliers and the faint sound of the bustling street below.                     This speakeasy-ish spot was crazy wonderful - once we found it! It’s tucked away on a side street off of Beale. The appetizer - smoked bacon with goat cheese and currants - slayed. Our waiter, Greg, couldn’t have been nicer. In terms of interiors, the blue-tinted windows framed in rough hewn wood that contrasted to the boxy, modern light fixtures, (set low, of course), plus the live blues music duo nestled in the corner was intoxicatingly delicious. It’s right up there on my list of exquisite dining experiences. Even better, since we ate there we got free tickets to the blues club below. It’s the total date night package. Such a kick!

                    We had an absolutely delightful dinner. The food was savory and comforting, and the service with Jane was impeccable. This is a hidden treasure in downtown Memphis. Bravo!

                    We chose Itta Bena for our last night in Memphis - saved the best for last! The food was incredible and we had a delightful server, Chris, who made our night very special. Looking forward to coming back!

                    As a tourist from Colorado, wasn’t easy to find the restaurant! Because there aren’t any signs! But we made our way up the stairs from B.B Kings bar on Beale Street. At Itta Been the bartender took care of our wine selection, with a good Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley. . My friend & I enjoyed good conversation there and then moved to our reserved table for a delightful dinner. Delectable selection of entrees on the menu! The Jumpo Shrimp & Grits was presented in a large soup bowl to accommodate the incredible sauce made from shiitake mushrooms, scallions, garlic & wine was poured over the grits flavored with smoked Gouda! We had a side of french fries with Parmesan cheese!The combination was memorable. A good wine to accompany the incredibly good entree and divine music by a combo in the background with low lighting created good ambience-a memorable evening!

                    It was a little frustrating for the price. Lamb app was excellent. Steaks and sides were mediocre for a 300 dollar dinner. I made the reservation 3 weeks ago for my fiancés birthday. We were sat next to a drunk group of 20. Couldn’t hear a thing. Service was mediocre. For that price go somewhere else.
