J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Bleu potato chips & Chocolate Velvet Cake. The cozy atmosphere includes fire side dining, rich wood, brick & soft lighting where you can enjoy a quiet table or host a large party. The extensive martini & wine list offers the perfect compliment to an excellent meal delivered with attentive service. J. Gilbert's is open for dinner 7 days a week. Reservations are recommended.

    Perfect location, staff very attentive, Corey is the best. Not only professional service, but due to the crowd I was able to observe and without question he’s the best. Thanks and we’ll be back

    Restaurant was very busy. Waited 1.5 hours for food to arrive at table. The menu was limited and a bit pricey. Husbands prime rib was lukewarm. Wait staff kept busy but slow to follow up on drink orders. Did apologize for long wait. Will return but not on Christmas Day again.

    Excellent meal.Took about an hour after the salad to get our steaks. Otherwise it was a wonderful Christmas dinner.

    It’s just always a great experience have enjoyed it several times including thanksgiving and Christmas and yesterday our waitress Christina was outstanding

    Being one of the few restaurants open Christmas Day, the restaurant was very busy and a bit stressed. Food was very good and prepared to order. All in all, our experience was enjoyable! Intend trying restaurant under more normal circumstances.

    We had a great Christmas Eve. Food was perfect as was our service. Waiter Cory was outstanding. Took good care of us. Spent just the right amount of time at our table. Give him a raise, he deserves it.

    This was our fourth trip to the restaurant. Every trip has been on either Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or Thanksgiving day. We have made it a tradition for the past three years. This was the first time we experienced a horrible wait time between courses. The appetizer came out timely, but the wait between the appetizer and our dinner was unacceptable. The wait to receive bread was unacceptable, as was any request for additional items at the table.
