    Our waiter was very good and helpful. The food was excellent. Salmon cooked perfectly. Calamari, steelhead and sole all very well cooked.

    Had 8:00 pm reservations. Arrived at 7:55 and were told they were running 45 minutes behind. As it was New Years Eve, we had no option but to stay. After 1/2 hr , found small table in bar. Got some apps and drinks and after 1 hr and 15 minutes they had a table for us. No apologies/no discount. Just tuff luck. Incredibly bad experience Will think twice before returning to my former fave restaurant

    New Year’s Eve. Oversold. Seated 90 minutes after reservation time. So crowded you couldn’t move out of the way of the servers. Food was warm, not hot. Servers were exhausted by end of the evening. Not a typical experience at Jakes.

    All was fantastic! Rob was a great waiter & the hostess at check in was cool under fire on NYE. Food was fantastic as always.

    We had a great night at Jake’s. The service was awesome and the steaks and prawns that we ordered were delicious. Definitely would recommend!

    The food was spectacular especially the oysters and the mussels. The environment is pleasant and a great vibe for New Years.

    Our family has been dining at Jake's for over 80 years. Always a very good dinner at a reasonable price (for seafood). Our complaint was the "pan fried yearling oysters" were not pan fried but rather deep fried and over done. We complained to our server but no response. Oh well, we will go back.

    We always love Jake's and this visit was even more enjoyable than past visits. Our waitress immediately apologized that we had to wait to be seated and for her to come to our table, that they had 10 people out sick. We appreciated knowing this, it allowed us to relax and not wonder about timing of things, and still she and the rest of the staff worked hard to take care of us and did a great job. The opening martini was superb, along with a glass of the featured Cabernet Sauvignon. Their bread is always delicious. Oyster appetizer and Caesar salad were delicious. Both the trout dish and the horseradish encrusted salmon dish were outstanding. We love the vibe, atmosphere and professional staff here and this night proved how these pros were able to handle a difficult situation in addition to being friendly and kind. We really appreciate a place where the staff acts happy to be working there. We will return often.

    Jake’s overall experience has declined since McCormick & Schmick sold it. A reliably predictable menu, professional looking wait & bus staff and reception, though this time I did encounter a grouchy woman server. It was extremely crowded and there is no “lobby” or waiting area-too cool and rainy to wait outdoors, bar was SOR. The food was tasty tho not hot save for the bread (perfect!). I’ll patronize this place again and expect better during a non Winter Holidays season.

    Exceptional!! Steve was amazing. Great service and menu recommendations. Oysters were on point and all food arrived in a timely manner and hot from the kitchen. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend for anything from intimate dinner for two to groups and even large parties.
