We were seated within minutes of arriving and the service was great even though it was Christmas evening. We had a pleasant evening and the food was enjoyable.

Great communication, service, and food. They let us switch to a nicer table, kept us updated about food times, generally lovely experience with delicious food.

We arrived and waited just a few minutes to be seated. The hostess was going to seat us in the bad side of the restaurant which is our preference, but then an older gentleman said “no take them to table 71” which ended up being three rooms over in a conference room type space. It was way too bright and impersonal. We asked to be reseated and said we were willing to wait. They reseated us. Drinks were good- martini for me à Gibson for my husband. The wedge salad was good, tenderloin was excellent, broccoli was good. The asparagus was doused in some sort of broken hollandaise sauce which was cold and clumpy- not nice. The shrimp scampi had zero flavor, which was strange for a dish usually loaded with garlic and butter. The waitress noticed we didn’t eat it but didn’t ask about it or offer to remove it from the bill. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and we will be finding a new traditional spot.

Jake's was completely unprepared for the number of guests. I made a reservation months ago and Jake's either overbooked or allowed too many walk-ins. We were not seated in the main restaurant which has a nice ambience. We were seated in a very brightly lit depressing side room and were subjected to loud awful Christmas music. The food was cold and not good.

Amazing food and service! The steak was perfectly cooked and the best I’ve ever had! Would highly recommend!

Jake's has a very comfortable, familial feel to it. I always feel quite at home there compared to many other restaurants. We had Christmas lunch there and one of my dining companions said the roast chicken was the best he'd ever tasted. The butterscotch pudding for dessert is so creamy and has just a hint of burned sugar to it which is a nice element. Coffee is very good.

Terrible breakfast. A steak place should not serve what they said was steak and eggs. Pretty sure it had spent time in a microwave.

A lovely restaurant for dinner during the Christmas season. The calamari was crisp. The oysters were fresh, tasting of the sea. The prime rib was juicy and delicious. A fun way to start the evening before the symphony.
