   Greeted and seated immediately. Perfect table for our party of 6. The server arrived immediately, and drinks came as expected, food quicker. We were there at prime dinner time. My only complaint is the chairs around the table Not very comfortable. The manager did swing by the table for a check-in. Very nice. All in all, it was a wonderful dinner evening out.

   The meals were great, service was excellent, and the Landry’s membership surprised us with some dollars off. Highly recommended!

   I was very pleased today with everything at Jake’s. And this time the music was low enough that it did not interfere with our ability to have a conversation. (Last week the music was overbearing, but I didn’t realize that it was music. I thought it was some boisterous other customers!)

   Very enjoyable meal! We started with the hot fresh loaf of bread & butter & the crispy calamari. I had the classic French onion soup which was delicious. Our entrees were all winners, the Irish whiskey glazed salmon was cooked to perfection, the crabbed stuffed salmon & chicken dishes were delicious. We finished sharing the toffee bread pudding but all agreed we could have eaten one each, it was that tasty.

   Jakes food is dependably good. Fish and chips arrived hot and crisp, the rockfish well prepared and not over spiced. Difficulty is still in staffing. Our poor waiter was serving both dining rooms as well as bartending. No wonder my coffee cup went unfilled or that we had to flag someone to get us a box and find our bill.

   The food was okay, certainly not the best steakhouse in Portland, but a good place to grab a bite with colleagues! Wish the service was a little more friendly, got some flack for my allergies. But other than that, lovely!

   Very disappointing service. We had to find our waiter for every step in the meal. Especially frustrating as we booked an early table to avoid the lunch rush. Excellent ambiance and food.
