   Abbiamo prenotato con piu di 2 mesi d’anticipo. Avevamo un tavolo a stretto contatto con una postazione dove camerieri erano in continuo movimento per apparecchiare, sparecchiare e preparare i piatti. Non è stato possibile cambiarlo. Cibo discreto, ma sopravvalutato. Nel complesso un’esperienza deludente. Non lo consiglio.

   The surrounding and ambiance was great, as one would expect from Chef Jamie Oliver. Service was very slow, we had keep trying to get their attention so we could either order, add something and even ask for desert. Ribeye, pork tomahawk and chicken were nice but the triple cooked chips were not much different to the M&S frozen chips! Prices look ok on menus however since they come without any trimmings by the time sides are added then becomes pricey. This would have been ok if the food and service reflected the price. My special need daughter got redness as she saw food around her and was getting hungry. We asked to add bread to the order do we could have it quickly. The answer was kitchen is busy so won’t be quick and the priority was to tap it in on the computer before even a slice of bread was to be had. In any case by the time the bread arrived so did rest of the starters. Ice cream was served on hot metal bowl, probably just out of dishwasher, chocolate mouse was nice but honeycomb bits were not good at all. We also ordered fried rhubarb pastry which was strangely salty!

   Upon checking out the waiter entred wrong amount into the cash register, as a result I paid +200% higher amount, with refund in 3 business days!!! 300 eur gone in the middle of my trip to UK was not pleasant, even if it's due to be back! Otherwise - the food is OK, the environment is nice, good before the opera.

   We were seated in an outside hallway despite having reservations and plenty of open tables for 2 people in the main dining room. Told them that it was pre theatre dining and had to ask where our dessert was and got the bill. Food is okay. Probably better to just go to a pub for comfort food.

   From the moment we went in through the high, airy green entrance passageway, we knew we were in for a treat. The staff were exceptional, charming, friendly, evidently enjoying where they work. My friend and I hadn't seen each other in a long while and had lots to chat over. The impeccable food arrived at just the right pace and we sat easily able to chat. Fabulous Al round experience and we shall definitely be back.

    We were very excited to be visiting Jamie's as part of my sisters 80th birthday celebrations. I had booked following a recommendation from my son in law, who particularly recommended the fish and chips. Our welcome was lovely and friendly. We were given advice about our wine, which was spot on. The Minestrone soup and scotch egg were superb, one of our party did not have a starter. We were very disappointed that our much anticipated fish and chips were unavailable, apparently due to the fact that it was a bank holiday and there were delivery issues?? We were offered deep-fried prawns instead, but not suitable for me as I can't eat shellfish, and not acceptable for my partner . So we chose alternatives, which were delicious. The mash was to die for. Two of us wanted Queen of Puddings, but again, it was not available. Was this too part of the failed delivery along with the fish? So we chose alternatives , which again were lovely. ... just one slight niggle, and one I feel Jamie would not be happy with.....THE CUSTARD WAS COLD!! The ice cream for my sisters birthday were a nice touch. Incidentally the chap who served us was absolutely superb, he was attentive and professional and a really nice guy. He worked so hard during our time there... Sorry I can't remember his name. I am sad to say that overall we were disappointed with our much anticipated visit. Would we recommend Jamie's? Sorry, but probably not after this visit.
