Probably the best food and cocktails in Portland. That is saying a lot. Gorgeous ambiance and very good service. Highly recommend the lychee martini and scallops. Creative, high level flavors and presentations. Only dings are the menu on QR codes or flimsy unreadable paper. So, phone lights going on all over the tables. Also, the corkage fees exceed NYC, ($120 for 2 bottles) so we passed on our favorite bottles saved for birthday celebration from home cellar.

Wonderful, knowledgeable staff! We had the oysters, green beans, sprouts, ribs, chicken, tempura maki…all were superb. The matcha tiramisu and desert spring rolls were a perfect cap (along with cappuccino)! Can’t wait to go back!

We went to Janken for my 28th birthday and it was amazing! We had delicious cocktails, a mix of sushi and hot items, and a very special birthday dessert. I must say that we ordered way too much, but it was nice to try a little bit of everything. The ambience and service was great and I will 100% recommend Janken to my friends and family for special occasions!

I’ve been to Janken countless times and this was by far the best experience. Sofia was the best server. We ordered way too much food and she gave is enough time with each dish. We didn’t feel rushed or overwhelmed with the amount of food like previous visits. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Our evening at Janken was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was beautiful and I can’t say enough good things about the food. As a party of three we had about 9 small plates. The foie gras sushi, wagyu fried rice, seared scallops, and Peking duck were the ones I remember and they were all delicious. We also had the Korean snow dessert, and enjoyed it so much. Totally recommend this place

Amazing experience, from food to drinks to even allowing our kiddo to build his Legos. Our waitress Aliyah was amazing too and she truly made it a 10/10 experience!

Excellent food and service! The menu is extensive but both times I have gone the wait staff was extremely versed in guiding me to good selections. I highly recommend the experience as the quality and uniqueness of the cuisine is fantastic. I wish there were more gluten free sushi options is my only complaint. They changed the menu between my visits and took away an excellent gluten free roll. I wish the sushi chefs had more freedom in creating gluten-free alternatives.

Food was great, staff had great attitudes, although service and bar was pretty slow and they forgot drinks ordered a few times. Also adding %20 gratuities automatically was surprising considering the pressure to order 2-3 dishes per person already made the bill over $150pp
