I go to Goshi SLO several times a month and I have always found the presentation and quality of sushi and sashimi to be superior, the best to be found locally. The servers are attentive and knowledgeable. The “noise level” is not a concern, as most customers are sober and serious and the ambiance reflects everyone’s attention and respect.

As always the food was delicious, the fish was very fresh and the sushi rice tasted good. We go to lunch or dinner every month and will continue patronizing the restaurant.

Goshi is a must whenever I’m in SLO. The fish is so fresh, the ambiance is so authentically Japanese, and the chef is kind.

Delicious, the sushi was very fresh and well prepared. The service was fantastic. We loved the oysters we had as appetizers. The servings were very generous.

Overall great. Food was awesome. Place was nice. Price was fair. Service was good but them seems short staffed as they had like 2 servers for the whole place.

We have been eating at Goshi for 25 years and it is consistently the best Japanese food in the world. (I have now traveled enough to confirm this.) Particular standouts are the albacore tataki, miso soup, cucumber salad, halibut tempura roll and udon noodle dishes - but even the edamame come perfectly cooked every time. Yes they cost a pretty penny. Always worth it.
