The first & only steakhouse of its kind in the Louisville area, Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse serves only dry-aged USDA prime beef. While steak is the foundation of the menu, Jeff Ruby's promises to please seafood lovers as well with its raw/sushi bar & seafood entrees.
Jeff Ruby regulars will be pleased to know that their favorite signature items from the Cincinnati restaurants will be well represented in Louisville. The bone-in filet, the 7 cheese baked macaroni, creamed spinach, truffle flake, & of course Jeff Ruby's secret recipe cheesecake are all staples of the Louisville menu.
Styled after the great NY steakhouses of the 1930s & '40s, Jeff Ruby's promises to be as pleasing visually as it is to the palate. French art-deco design, plush mohair upholstery, hand-selected antique furniture, and cinematic crystal chandeliers anchored by a 1950s-era antique are featured in the Starz series Magic City and the 32-foot wall of wine.

                                                                                                                                                          We decided to grab some random apps and sushi tonight before the Broadway show. It was fun to go off the beaten path. Service and food was exceptional.

                                                                                                                                                          This was a pre-theater dinner. We had reservations at their opening time and we were promptly seated. Immediately had water in our glasses, sourdough bread/butter on the table and met several servers. The staff, including the manager were very attentive. The wife had the crabcake appetizer and said it was very good, I had the French onion soup and half a blue cheese wedge; the wedge was one of the finest I’ve ever had. Two fillets and mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese as our our sides. The wife’s fillet was undercooked and it was immediately put back on the grill. The manager swiftly came over and offered us extra drinks or whatever we might like. Obviously, we did not need any of that. It was such a minor thing. We declined dessert this trip but we had an excellent pre-theater dinner. I might add I did have an old-fashioned and it was very good.

Beautiful interiors, exceptional service, great meal. NYC steakhouse prices but worth it for a special evening

Blown away by the atmosphere, service, and of course the food. Our server, Shelby, was very helpful in explaining the menu and offering recommendations. Great date night spot!
