I've enjoyed many visits to Jimmy's for dinner with family but rarely get to enjoy happy hour with a friend. Our Hostess, Katie, was amazing! She welcomed us by name having anticipated our arrival through our OpenTable reservation and accommodated our request for a particular seating area. We lucked out and scored Andrew as our bartender who served our booth just off the main bar. This was a special celebration for us so we indulged in cocktails from decades past and Andrew was quick with recipes and suggestions for decadent indulgences. The Happy Hour Apps are perfect for shareables and with fresh, light options and a generous ordering window the grazing makes for a satisfying dinner as well. The Crab Cakes are nice and light. The Calamari, while fried is not heavy and sits well for a time if you're not in a hurry to consume. Dare I say: the Black & Blue bites were at least equal to - but better than - many Filet Mignons I've ordered in the dining room. Everything was delivered as promised and promptly. My few, direct experiences with Jimmy's bartenders have always been positive but I'll say Andrew is a cut above. What a pleasure to have such great service and great entertainment within a simple early-evening out ;) For any occasion, Jimmy's is a great choice but for a Ladies' event of any size in the Western 'burbs you can't beat the experience offered at Jimmy's with a host like that! As a former Jennings' employee from a zillion years ago it's nice to know you can rely on a family philosophy to provide a good product, great service, and a fair deal, in any decade.

As usual, Jimmy’s did not disappoint. Took a friend there for a first time, she was impressed. Food was great and service was wonderful. Laurie is a treasure.

I love Jimmy’s. My husband and I come here for all special occasions. We even have a favorite waitress! However, we can tell things have changed in the kitchen over the last 1-1.5 years… It’s still good but not nearly as amazing as it used to be.

We celebrated my mother’s 91 birthday there. We all really enjoyed our food and had excellent service! The staff made mom feel special!

William was an excellent server. Pistachio walleye, white wine muscles, artichoke dip and wedge salad for dinner paired well with the prisoner blend wine. Always love a dinner out at Jimmy’s.

My husband had the lobster rosoto and said it was the best rosoto! I will be trying it at our next visit. Jimmys is our neighborhood go to restaurant. The staff is the best. Very friendly and helpful!

Our server was very kind and attentive. But the noise level made it difficult to communicate with our friends. Food (a walleye sandwich with a lot of bread and more batter than fish) was average and the fries lukewarm and rather tasteless. Perhaps Jimmy’s is better for happy hour than dinner, but I am still not going to go back.
