My family and I recently visited Jojo Japanese hibachi and sushi in Willowbrook il, first time visiting. Google review gave it a 4.2 out of 435 reviews. I reach out to celebrate the birthdays of my late sister who recently passed and my mother. I specifically mentioned this when making the reservation. Expecting staff to help make our experience special. We had a 3pm reservation, but despite no visible crowd, the service felt incredibly rushed throughout our meal. To make matters worse, and add insult to the bad experience. I asked for a to-go cup for my son's dr. Pepper and the server made an inappropriate remark about not putting alcohol in it. Not only was the assumption unwarranted, but it also felt odd and was unprofessional comment. Overall experience was incredibly disappointing, especially considering the special nature of the occasion and treatment as a person. I do not regret saying my family and I will not ever be returning to jo jo Japanese hibachi & sushi located at 7409 Kingery Hwy, Willowbrook, IL 60527.

We had a good time at Jo Jo’s. we sat at a grill. The atmosphere was great! Our chef, Jay did a fantastic job and was engaging and entertaining. The food was really tasty and the drinks were good. We will certainly go back.

We were a party of 5. Made reservations and were promptly seated. Three had the hibachi while two others order aka carte. The pink dragon sushi roll was enjoyed by a couple people. The noodles with chicken were ok but could have used more seasoning. The rest of us ordered different hibachi dinners. The scallops had to have been the best. The chicken and steak were tender but they could also have used more season to de some flavor. I’d love to go back simply for the experience as the customer service was exceptional. Our chef did a good job of including everyone in our party so we all had a good time. Even the picky eaters said they would love to go back. Thank you for a nice family outing!

Service was horrible. The restaurant seating is falling a part. The food was way overpriced for what it was. The staff did not check on us and never brought us half our food we ordered but still put it on the receipt.

I've been here twice recently, one time for Christmas Eve and this one for my son's birthday. I will say that with a lot of Hibachi restaurants you come out with your clothes smelling from the food, this place you do not which means they must have good ventilation and means I don't have to run to the washing machine when I get home. The place is very small though and pretty tight so a little less ambience than some of the bigger hibachi places. We had seats set up for us but then the girl was trying to make me sit where I couldn't talk to my family to accommodate other guests that came in after us, so I did not appreciate that. The food seems fresher and the meat is not super garlicky as I feel a lot of other places use garlic to cover the quality of the ingredients. The mushroom soup and salad to start are great. The thing I do not like here is that the shrimp comes out last, all other hibachi places do the shrimp appetizer with yum yum sauce first. Also, the vegetables come out after the meat, but I feel they should be right after the shrimp, before the meat. This last time we went we had to wait even though we had a reservation. They then rushed us through the whole meal since there were only 2 chefs working. The whole point of Hibachi is for the "show" and there really isn't a show here, not Christmas Eve nor for my son's birthday. This last visit was a little better but not what would be expected since we are paying about $50 a person for the meal/show and not with being rushed through it. Service is fine here, they don't really interact too much or ask if we want anything else, refill waters, etc, which is surprising, and don't expect super friendly waitresses.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It was just a little pricey. We both had the lobster and shrimp hibachi that came with veggies, fried rice, Japanese onion soup and a small salad with ginger dressing. The salad was very fresh and was very good, as well as the onion soup. The fried rice was delicious and we each got a ton of it. There were about 7 or 8 extra large shrimp and about 7 chunks of lobster. The only problem was that it was $56 for this. Our bill for the two entrees, two drinks, tax and tip was over $150, which we think was excessive for this type of restaurant with tons of kids there, too!
