Veteran James Beard Award Winning New York City Restaurateur Chris Cannon (Marea, Alto, Convivio, Osteria Morini) opened Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen, his convivial, multi-concept restaurant, bar and event space in Morristown, New Jersey in October of 2014.

Located at the historic Vail Mansion, Cannon’s JHBK is composed of four distinct spaces, each with a unique food and beverage element. With inspiration stemming from the property’s elegance and unique history, the mansion houses a collection of contemporary artwork, many of which were commissioned exclusively for the project.

The food is good, but with the exception of the kale Caesar salad the portions are small and overpriced. Even though the kale Caesar was very tasty, the leaves were not chopped up and were very tough. The grilled arctic char was nicely prepared. The star of the show was the roasted broccoli with curry and a creamy yogurt sauce underneath. The scallops were also very good, but 3 scallops is more of an appetizer. Overall, the ambiance is fun and energetic.

Food was just good but the servers were excellent and very attentive. That made our evening very enjoyable. It was our anniversary and everyone remembered to mention that. They also served us complimentary glasses of Prosecco. It was a very nice touch.

It’s been a while since I’ve been somewhere to prompt myself to write a review…Jokey Hollow was underwhelming, the service was bad, when we ordered we were required to order the whole meal because the ”chief demanded it”. We couldn’t order an appetizer, and then look at the menu some more we had to order a whole meal upfront. I ordered the sea scallops and received three medium sized scallops for $40 with nothing else on the plate. My husband ordered the fried chicken and was so busy picking small little bones out of the chicken, it was frustrating. This place is overpriced for the food is just not good. The atmosphere is just OK and service was not worth a second visit

We had oysters & drinks at the Oyster bar and dinner in the Vail room and it was all great. Food was amazing but our waitress Olivia was phenomenal!!! Will def revisit. Smashburger 🤤

A dining experience to rave about! The place itself is simply amazing. It makes me dream of having my 25th wedding anniversary party at this place.
