Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore. From its extensive menu, guests can choose from buckets of seasonal seafood, fried shrimp platters and fish dishes, as well as options from the “mainland” that include steak, sandwiches, and chicken. Guests can indulge in over-sized and creative cocktails, such as the Shark Bite which is playfully garnished with a shark toy. Since its inception, Joe’s popularity has stemmed not only from its menu, but also its retail store. With various pieces of merchandise for purchase, including the ever-popular tie-dye T-shirt with the phrase “Peace, Love and Crabs,” Joe’s has become synonymous with the word “fun.”

New Year’s eve we always get Crab and Seafood. So I was looking for a restaurant that would have something along those lines. We found this place and I was so excited!! I started reading all the reviews and then got a little discouraged but still wanted to try it out. It was an AMAZING place! The Waiter was super nice and attentive as much as she could be, it was busy there so I could understand not everyone would be getting the same service. The food was amazing! If you are reading this before trying it out, I would say go try it out! Don’t listen to all the bad reviews, I feel as if people don’t understand how a restaurant works when they are putting reviews in and they think when they walk in it’s all entitled to them. I worked in the restaurant industry for over 5 years and I will tell you, it’s not easy and the negative reviews probably never have worked in it before.

Wir waren hier an Weihnachten. Totaler Flob! Überfordertes Personal, Essen Mittel mäßig. Keine Reservierung vorhanden trotz monatelanger Vorbereitung. Wir setzten uns dann an die Bar und nahmen hier unser Dinner ein. Nie mehr!

Thank you to all at Joe’s who gave up part of their Christmas Day so my family could enjoy a great meal while visiting. The drinks were great while waiting an hour for our table. While some guests were upset, it is understandable with reservations-only and a holiday with large parties. There weren’t many restaurants open Christmas Day in the area, let alone taking reservations. Our steam pots were plentiful and a great value, easy to share!

This was not my best experience here. We waited over an hour for our food. One order had to be replaced 3 times due to the wrong items on the plate. Finally the rest of our family was done eating so the guest waiting on their meal just had it packed up to be taken home. Service was not good! Waited on refills for drinks for a long time and had to ask many times and still did not receive them.

Ordered Crab Daddy and the portion of crab was so small. Most expensive combo in the selection but very disappointing.

Our server was China. She was really great. Professional, helpful with our orders, friendly and attentive. It was dark so we couldn’t see the view of the water, which we heard is gorgeous, but it was a Monday evening so it was not crowded. We got a great table and it was very relaxing. The food was really good. All five of us ordered something different and loved it. I had crab and shrimp pasta. We shared the combination platter and crab stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. Really good!!!! Others had the salmon, shrimp platter, king crab, shrimp boil, and crab cakes. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The drinks were good too!

Excellent, attentive service. Very friendly. The food was prepared properly and served timely. Nice atmosphere overlooking the River. Great for large families. Our server, Jersey, did an excellent job!!
