Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore. From its extensive menu, guests can choose from buckets of seasonal seafood, fried shrimp platters and fish dishes, as well as options from the “mainland” that include steak, sandwiches, and chicken. Guests can indulge in over-sized and creative cocktails, such as the Shark Bite which is playfully garnished with a shark toy. Since its inception, Joe’s popularity has stemmed not only from its menu, but also its retail store. With various pieces of merchandise for purchase, including the ever-popular tie-dye T-shirt with the phrase “Peace, Love and Crabs,” Joe’s has become synonymous with the word “fun.”

I had the peach bourbon salmon and it was excellent. My lady had one of the steamer bowls with various crab and it was very sub par. The crab was not very meat and not flavorful. My son had the dish fingers and they were dreadful. Tasted awful. My toddler had the Mac and cheese, which she invited, but it was clearly a half box of kraft for $8. The service was very nice. We spent $150 for four people and I would not be upset at all about that if the food quality was as good for all of the pens as it was for my salmon, but I’d was not. We do not spend that much on a dinner very often and will definitely try another seafood place in the future.

Waitress was great. Staff changed tables upon our arrival and that caused an issue but was resolved in time

The service and food were top notch. Our Server Bobbi Jo was great. Very good food served just as it was available which is so nice. We will be back.

Food is just extremely underwhelming every time we go here. Sent back 2 entrees and appetizers because they were cold and soggy. $100 later for 4 people with happy hour bar food specials for appetizers, it’s just the last time I’ll go back.

Es la 2da vez q visito el lugar y lo amo, me gusta la tranquilidad, el servicio, la hermosa vista y la decoración. También los trabajadores son muy agradables y brindan un buen servicio. Volvería miles de ocasiones más

We were one of only three tables in the entire restaurant, food took an hour and twenty minutes and was all cold and 7 of our 9 orders were wrong, like…severely wrong. 4 of our crab boil pots had only crab and no corn, sausage or potatoes. It took 20 more minutes to get the other items, and they were just brought out on side plates from a microwave (no seasoning). The manager offered us free desserts, and I asked that the orders we waited 20 more minutes to be completed be comp’d. They agreed to credit ONE kids order for $15 and three free desserts. I’ll absolutely never eat here again, and likely never a Joe’s Crab Shack again.

I’ve had uneven food preparation. I’ve recently taken my family there and, unfortunately, the last few times the food has been awful. Once is an outlier or a bad day for the cook but 3 times is now a trend. We always get the queen or king crab leg entrees alongside several servings of mussels and the last few times both have been overcooked. The crab had disintegrated in the shell and the mussels were cooked just as poorly. It’s frustrating to encounter this when you’re spending upwards of $350 or more for your family dinners (the last two times were birthday dinners). With the money that we often spend there we’ve decided we should try other venues.

Food was okay, exactly what you would expect from a place like this. Nothing was inedible, some things like the steamed shrimp just weren’t prepared the best way, the shrimp weren’t really cleaned so most had the mud vein still intact which is just not appetizing. Server/bartender was great and so were the drinks.

Service was extremely slow. Parts of our meals didn’t come with everything it was supposed to. Took almost 30 minutes before we got our drinks. And we’re able to order.
