Went here for lunch - beautiful space, quick service even in the lunch rush, food for all dietary needs, and friendly waiters. Great downtown spot, I hope it lasts!

I'd been looking forward to dining with Joyce for a very long time, and unfortunately this visit fell very short of my expectations. The server had the most condescending and abrasive attitude. I was actually afraid to ask for help as I was quite sure it would be followed with some snarky and crude reply. He was impatient and belittling. This person should 100 percent not be working in serving others.

Went here for my birthday brunch an it was an incredible experience! Good and cocktails were delicious and the service was next level! Thank you, Joyce!

Our waiter was not very concerned about us which was a little disheartening although I will admit it was very busy so maybe he was overwhelmed but it did take away from the experience. other than that it was a good overall experience the food was spectacular the drinks were yummy. I would definitely recommend just not mid morning on a Sunday lol

Tony was our server. He was excellent. He was attentive and professional. He continually checked on our large party. The food. Well is was brunch and there was only two proteins available for brunch, chicken and shrimp. Also, my husband asked for a sweetener for his coffee. Only one artificial sweetener was available. The omelette was dry and no protein was available to add to the omelette. However, Tony our server was amazing!!!! Food was a thumbs down for me

The service was slow. Not a true Christmas Bar. It was that the restaurant had holiday decorations. The food was hit and miss. One of the best things that we ordered was the mac & cheese. The greens were quite watered down and the cornbread had a interesting taste. I also ordered the short ribs that came out looking like pot roast on a plate of slop to be quite honest. I did not think that that was the best presentation for the order. Overall, I’m not sure that this would earn a second visit for me, but I will say the catfish was decent is very well seasoned however, only on one side. Maybe this is the new soul food standard just not for me.

The food lacked seasoning. We had the Mac and cheese and the octopus dish. I was unimpressed with both. I guess since I’m from the South I have high expectations of what southern food should taste like. I did love the ambiance and service from Tony. I will not recommend the food but the drinks were tasty.
