                                                          Julia's was lovely! The space is beautifully appointed and intimate. Staff was friendly and professional. Staff checked in occasionally, but not excessively. I really loved how the entire meal was paced. Each course, including the wine and cocktails came promptly, but never felt rushed. The food was delicious and well portioned. Maybe a little too well portioned, as we ended up with leftovers. :) And the restaurant was quiet!! Hallelujah! They did have great music, but it was very much in the background. And finally, the restaurant is in a Julia Morgan building, so the architecture is super cool. Make sure to leave a few minutes to walk around the building. It was a great evening.

                                                          Just adore Julia’s! Everything is wonderful- food, service, ambiance. We go with a friend for special lunches together. Dinner is superb too. Going to the Julia Morgan-designed City Club is like a step back in time in the best sense. So relaxing….

                                                          I made a reservation for six but showed up with nine people. The staff were very gracious in accommodating us. The food and service were great, and such a beautiful building!!

                                                          What a great experience! We loved the architecture & history of the building. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and had great suggestions! The food quality was delicious.

                                                          A lot of little things that brought it down to 2 Stars. French Soup was delivered with a butter knife which could happen, minor mistake. Soup was good. I expected the Niçoise Salad with tuna and maybe even soft boiled eggs. I got neither. Not traditional Niçoise and very boring salad. Braised Short Ribs was just ok though meat was really tender. Too many carrots and not enough potato. Steelhead Fillet was also just okay according to my sister. Rack of Mini Lamb seemed to be better as my son finished everything. Orange Rice Pudding was a total disappointment that seemed to have been an afterthought or an idea by a non chef. The front did not communicate to the server that my sister had called and preordered my bday cake/dessert so kinda ruined the surprise. The margarita mock tail let’s not even go there. Though our server was really nice and tried her best, we did expect to be wowed considering some of the reviews we read. The ambiance can only go so far and certainly did not match the total experience including value. Btw I read in one of the reviews that their Niçoise Salad was served with oozing tuna so I don’t understand why mine was MIA. If the bread was the only highlight, I would be hard-pressed to recommend.

                                                          Service was excellent-thank you Bella! Food was great. I ordered the French onion soup and butter lettuce salad and they were delicious. We will definitely revisit Julia’s restaurant again.
