At KELP we take our time to make sure the food that goes on your plate is a fresh and local as possible. We source our seafood to be specifically Scottish and sustainable. We pride ourselves on using local suppliers for all our food. The fish people supply our fresh seafood daily. Our bread comes from Soja bakehouse, a family owned bakery in Cumbernauld. Our meat comes from ABR butchers, based in Bearsden.
Our executive chef, Christopher Hutchison, creates amazing, innovative dishes to be enjoyed and shared with friends and loved ones. We now have an AA rosette for 2023/2024 to highlight his and the teams amazing work. We are located on Cowcaddens Road, just around the corner from our sister restaurant, Ardnamurchan Restaurant and Bar and a stones throw from the theatre royal. Perfect for a meal before a show. Relax in our modern, airy restaurant and watch the chefs work in the open kitchen. Our signature dish is our crab doughnut, you'll be amazed!

    Expert , welcoming, efficient and friendly staff. Food excellent and good value… would be 5 but some over salting .. chef maybe do more tasting!!! Would highly recommend

    First time visit and whilst not being huge seafood lovers were unnecessarily nervous. Fabulous meal, the menu descriptions don’t do the food justice. Service was very attentive and menu well explained as to how much to order. Amazing colours and flavours - will definitely be back again. 10/10

    Small plates excellent as usual, only disappointment was one of the desserts, Arctic roll, which was rock hard clearly straight from freezer. Needed at least half an hour to soften, time we didn't have. Sent most of it back but wasn't taken off bill.

    Everything was ace . Particularly loved the coley (recommended by the waiter) and the mackerel - but really you could stick a pin in the menu and be happy. Will be back

    We just love Kelp. It's a fantastic restaurant on every level. Don't hesitate, book a table immediately :)

    Lovely food, freshly prepared and served with care. Focus on fish which I love. Small plates so great for sharing.
