Khmai Cambodian is a culinary journey that celebrates rich heritage and indomitable spirit of Cambodia. Named as an homage to Khmer, the native language, Mai means mother, which pays homage to Chef's mother.
Our restaurant is a testament to the enduring bond between family and food.

Khmai Cambodian is Inspired by the childhood experiences of our founder, Mona Sang, and her mother, Sarom Sieng, who survived the Cambodian genocide, our menu pays tribute to their unwavering resilience and passion for cooking. As a James Beard Semifinalist for Best New Restaurant in 2023, Khmai Cambodian has earned acclaim for its commitment to preserving and showcasing the culinary treasures of Cambodia.

Also enjoy our new concept Kaun Khmai, where the spirit of Cambodia comes alive through bold flavors and vibrant experiences.     wonderful food, don’t order too many dishes - they are large! Highly recommend! Shredded mango salad is a must!

    We left it up to our server to determine what/how much to feed a group of 6 with no dietary restrictions. Best decision we could have made! Every bite was excellent, and it was just the right amount of food.

    I’m fortunate enough to live down the street from this place, but I would travel a far to visit as frequently as I do now. The service is incredibly genuine and does an intentional job of educating people about Cambodian culture cuisine. The flavors are out of this world and delicious for all diet types. Cocktails are five stars. Thanks for everything, y’all are doing great.

    Unbelievable flavors. Our server guided us perfectly. We had the croquettes, the crab cakes, the mango salad, and the ribeye served over bone marrow. Fantastic! Next we want to go try the tasting menu.

    We tried the tasting menu last night and it was a great walk through Siem Riep indeed! Each course was bursting with flavors and uniqueness to the texture and constitency. Thanks chef for creating a unique flavor for tasting menu to showcase the flavor of Siem Riep! Each course has a good portion as well so in all the 6 courses we had, me and my friend was satiated and thoroughly satisfied! Definitely recommend!
