   The food was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend getting multiple plates to share. Some plates were rather on the salty side though. The only thing was the service. They asked to clear our plates when our hands were still eating out of our plates, which was rather rude. They weren't even using the tables next to us so it wasn't as if they needed our table. Otherwise I definitely recommend, but maybe just make it clear if people are still eating not to ask whether you can clear their plates.

   Each trip to Kindred has been fantastic. The food is delicious (highly recommend the crispy oysters and ANY of their seasonal salads), the servers are warm and attentive, and the decor is too cute. Always a delight!

   My parents, brother and I had a really nice time at our visit this past weekend. The starters were fresh & interesting, with the beef tartar & the tuna crudo as stand-outs. The 3 different homemade pastas were fabulous. We also enjoyed 2 different cocktails, which were very good! I would highly recommend this place for a special occasion, or for foodies in general.

   We celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary at Kindred on Dec 1. It was fun to see so many friends during Christmas in Davidson, and the food and service are always perfect!

   Kindred was a disappointment. In spite of making reservations on Open Table several weeks in advance, we were seated at a table with no overhead lighting across the bathroom and next to the bussing station. We ordered 6 plates to sample the menu. The food was good but not deserving of the local hype or a James Beard award. Three out of the six dishes were too salty. The birthday cake was served beautifully but tasted like a grocery store cake. It was odd that sliced bread was served at the end of the meal with the check and not with the 2 pasta dishes. I would be hard-pressed to visit again.

   This is a place where you can try many plates, many inventive all are delicious. The cocktail menu is excellent also. Servers are knowledgable and friendly. The hype is well-deserved!

   One of the rare restaurants in the Charlotte area that gets it right without trying too hard - from the excellent cocktails served in attractive glassware, unobtrusive but tentative service, casual yet elegant ambience, and complex and flavorful food. My only wish is that they'd offer a few more dishes that are lighter and brighter in texture and flavor.

    The dishes were unique and very tasty but overall there were too many ingredients:flavors in each dish. There were no "clean" dishes to choose from...Nouvelle Southern cuisine (heavy food but using fresh and non-traditional ingredients ).
