Established in 2020, King’s Fish House is San Jose’s choice for seafood. Located at the Westfield Valley Fair, King’s Fish House features a large selection of fresh oysters, seasonal catches, sushi and live shellfish, including lobster and crab, on a menu that changes daily.

We’ve been in restaurants a little while – three generations, to be precise. A long time ago, we embarked on a road trip in search of the ultimate seafood experience. We traveled down highways and byways, pulled up a seat, put on bibs and soaked up the seafood experience: the no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.

    Service makes all the difference! I have been here many times and tonight we had the best service so far. Please thank our server for the outstanding service he provided to us. He was pleasant, attentive and offered suggestions for an enjoyable meal. Thanks so much!

    Dining on New Years Eve, we were seated on time in the heated patio to enjoy a tasty dinner starting with calamari, then onto the Petrale sole and crab cioppino. Food was fresh and excellent. Service was very good.

    This was my second time here for a holiday meal and look forward to going back again. Impressed that the place operated so well given it was so busy. Food was very good again--oysters were a winner (yet again) and tried the Sea Bass for the 1st time. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. Side vegetables were a little salty but fine overall. Only complaint about the veggies was the extra charge for asparagus (properly disclosed). Not many wines by the glass, but they do have some decent ones at decent prices and they let you taste. Props to Alysa who did a nice job as my server. This place can be very efficient which, of course, helps turnover which, of course, helps business. So... pace out your ordering and be strategic in how you order if you want to have a less rushed dining experience. Hostesses need a little TLC training. They are not rude, but they certainly are not welcoming. Pro tip on seating: stay away from the bathroom, the kitchen, and the front door (loud, busy, and/or front door weather influenced).

    Once again, KFH, fell a little short. First, the bartender could do with a slightly cheerier disposition. Our server was very nice but hard to understand through the mask. We were served our main before the appetizer and that messed things up. The pace of our special night out was now off. The mistake didn’t make me feel good about the level of service we received or the impression to my companion. The King’s Albacore Roll was great though. The mashed potatoes were salty- we both agreed. The manager comped the appetizer and dessert without any prompting, so that was very nice. I’ll still come back but I’m really hoping for better, personalized service overall. I don’t want to feel like we’re just being pushed through. This is a great restaurant and the processes, training, and quality should be great too.

    I appreciated the booth by the outside window near the bar!! Service was great, just wish our bar drinks would come faster, over 15-20 minutes for both orders. Food was great as always! Thx for making our New Years Eve early dinner Great!!

    The host was very uninviting so it wasn’t a great first impression however the other servers were great! Food was good

    Dinner at 7:30pm n the restaurant closes at 10pm. The server said we’re out of breads, and there was no compensation whatsoever. Sucks!

    I thoroughly enjoy everything about King’s Fish House — except for the welcome by the hostess/host. The greeting is never welcoming or with a smile - ever. It’s a good thing the food, beverage, and service finish off the evening on a nice note.

    Great experience. Service staff could use training on wine menu. Order got mixed up abit regarding pinot noir by the glass. I was served pinot grigio instead. A different server/BT came by and said he had a white pinot noir and a red pinot noir. There is no such wine as a white variation to my knowledge. Our server did a good job, as she had a long distance to reach tables in her station. Miso Sea Bass was excellent 👌
