Continuing the legacy of Dallas' Original Steakhouse, Est. 1954, Kirby's Prime Steakhouse in Southlake, Est. 1999, is an award winning restaurant featuring Mid-Western, all natural, aged prime beef. Kirby's also offers fresh seafood, daily specials, and a spectacular collection of New and Old World wine housed in an impressive cellar of over 3,000 bottles. Chef seeks to introduce the culinary versatility of Kirby's cuisine to the newcomer, and to charm the well-educated diner with the tastes, colors, aromas, and preparation of the dishes Kirby's has to offer.                                                                                                             It was not very crowded for a Saturday night. The wait staff is always attentive and helpful. The little filet was perfectly cooked and fork tender. We chose a salad and a side from the chef’s specials-delicious. And a brandy Alexander was the perfect ending.

                                                                                                            New Years Eve 2024, side dining room had lights turned all the way up which effected to atmosphere for the evening. We did ask the waiter if there was a reason to have to lights so bright, he was going to have them turned down but did not. We started with the sea scallops, which looked like chicken nuggets, they were just okay. The soups were just okay. The ribeye was very good and the sea bass looked like a frozen piece of fish from a big box store and tasted like it too. It was undercooked and very salty, it had to be sent back to be cooked more. The cheesecake that was the only desert offered also tasted like it was shipped in and was just okay. The mashed potato's and sautéed spinach were good as well. The food was just okay, we will not be dining there again....

                                                                                                            We usually love Kirby’s. Great service and great food. Our go to family steakhouse. My wife and I went for New Year’s tonight and the service was slow and poor (she didn’t actually care about us and had a bad attitude until the check came), dinner took more than 2.5 hours on a set menu, the food was average at best and prepared poorly, mistakes with our drinks and extra charges on the bill, and seated in a back room staring at a wall for 2 (horrible NYE experience). The total cost was worth maybe 20% of what we paid. Will not go back for holiday events again. Such a poor experience.

                                                                                                            Always love the food! With it being Christmas Eve, it was a bit chaotic and took our food an abnormal amount of time to arrive. The staff was very accommodating and did a wonderful job overcoming this issue. Kirby’s is our go to for fine dining and family celebrations. I recommend them all the time. The food never disappoints! If you go during the holidays or busy times, give yourself more time to accommodate the wait that may occur.

                                                                                                            Corey was an excellent server. We appreciated all the staff attention to water, napkins, clearing the table. The suggestions for wine and meals was awesome. Our youngest son said his dry aged steak was the best he has ever had. Wonderful sea bass and red fish as well. The oysters were perfect too!
