   kitaro sushi is one of the best in Northwest Indiana and continues to be hands down one of the best date night places to go during lent. I can’t say enough how nice of a feeling it is to be greeted by Carrie the owner personally and to see her husband Jon making the fresh sushi in the back ….Will definitely recommend to everybody I know and continue to eat and go here as much as possible

   My husband and I celebrated my birthday at Kitaro eating and drinking our favorites- edamame and gyozas to start, Asian pear martinis, and then our favorite rolls! The Lemon Salmon roll is becoming one of our favorites! Highly recommended! Couldn’t pass up birthday dessert chocolate caramel soufflé. Food and Service as always was top notch!    The food was absolutely delicious. I had the truffle tuna flight, scallop dinner, and fatty yellowtail and fatty salmon nigiri. All were out of this world. My friend had the hibachi shrimp with teriyaki sauce and said it was also fantastic. We also ordered the lemon salmon maki but were too full to try more than one piece each. I will say it wasn’t my favorite but that’s a personal preference. It was still good though. Overall the ambience was gorgeous and calm without overdoing it and our waiter was very chill. Enjoyable time and highly recommend. Worth the cost
