Welcome to Koko by Bakan. Nestled in the natural tree canopy of Coconut Grove, our 6,000 square-foot indoor and outdoor restaurant & bar transports guests to Mexico with its sophisticated and artistic design, cacti garden, and outdoor bar & terrace. We sat at the bar to wait for our table, and after about 30 minutes, the hostess completely forgot we were waiting. This is my third time visiting the restaurant, and every time I go around 9:30 PM, valet parking is never available. The food is always great, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed, but it could really use some lively Mexican music to bring it to life a bit more.

I’ve dined here several years and was disappointed by this experience. I had a reservation and showed up and the restaurant was disorganized, with clearly no table for our group identified. We were put inside when outside is clearly preferred here, at a larger table than we needed near the noisy kitchen with doors constantly opening. Feedback was not well received. Service was poor with instructions needed constantly to staff including request for drinks, request to order, request for check etc. food was also not great compared to past years. Would not return based on this experience, a real shame.

Very good food, especially the steak. Only negative is our waitress which was not very friedly but all other were very nice

Great dinner once again ! Love the guacamole, the coliflower and the mole chicken ! Salmon verde great too . Wilson and Gabe were great in helping us ! Thanks

Always solid! The food and service are great. Wilson and his team have a wonderful attitude and go above and beyond to make sure everything is amazing.

We sat on the patio and were very disappointed when a man sat at the bar behind us and started smoking. I couldn’t breathe so we had to get up and go. We didn’t get to enjoy time after our dinner sitting there. We were very surprised that you allowed smoking since it is a covered space.
