KONA Steak & Seafood was voted the "Best New Restaurant" winner on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula for 2023. Located in the popular Del Monte Shopping Center in Monterey, just minutes from Carmel, Pacific Grove, & all Peninsula cities.
A fabulous menu! Enjoy fresh seafood, lobster, Hawaiian loco moco, fresh ahi tuna, a great bacon cheeseburger, bone-in rib eye, miso-glazed seabass, filet mignon, macadamia nut crusted halibut, entree salads, cioppino, seafood pasta, Maui onion soup, coconut curry soup, and a large host of enticing appetizers. Enjoy KONA's generous portions, good value, & free abundant parking! The house baked desserts are worth a trip on their own..... incredible!! The gorgeous "ZenDen Bar" features full bar & "Tiki Bar" style concoctions curated with house made ingredients, and nightly Happy Hour from 3:00-9:00pm. The food was fabulous we took some friends with us it was wonderful the food was cooked to perfection we will definitely go to Konas again it is my favorite restaurant in Monterey and I have lived here all my life !!

The waiter was excellent but the food wasn’t great. It’s ok for the price point.

We really enjoyed our evening at Kona. The food was excellent. We had the crab rangoons, which were crispy, filled with crab, and not at all greasy. My husband ordered the teriyaki New York strip and it was a perfect mid-rare. I had the wok-tossed fried rice with shrimp and chicken, which was excellent, and the orange marmalade sauce (in moderation) is a unique and tasty addition. We also ordered cocktails we enjoyed, but most importantly, our server Donna was a delight. She was attentive and friendly, and took really great care of us. We will be back, likely any time we come to Monterey.

We love dining here with the beautiful Hawaiian decor and a very lively atmosphere. The drinks are great and cuisine is unique and delicious. The fresh baked rolls, pork spareribs, and fried rice dishes are especially good. The servers are very friendly and attentive, and always make it fun to chat with them. The desserts are served with dry ice to create a spectacle of fog pouring over the table. This is one of our favorite places in Monterey.

Excellent food and service!! Drinks were good as well. I am real picky about Long Island ice teas and Kona's nailed the perfect blend of sweet & sour. Steak was made as requested and generous portions.

Service was amazing , great environment. Good for large groups. Unique menu items. Comparable price to other places. Not for an intimate dining experience.

We love coming to this Hawaiian-themed small business in Del Monte plaza. Entrees were scallops w/pasta and NY steak. Staff was dressed for Halloween so it was fun! Food is always good so we make it a point to eat here when we’re in the area.
