   As always, our meal was delicious as well as the wine suggestion. An amazing little gem in downtown Rock Hill.

   Food was not good. Fries were salad? I got the south western salad. It was deconstructed and Not mentioned on the menu. So all the dressing is in the bottom of the jar with the unseasoned black beans and corn. And it’s all just stuck in there with floppy things to get it out.

   Our dinner was delicious and the service was top notch. The restaurant was a little loud (but that was primarily due to the loud group of women next to us).

   Absolutely amazing food last night at Kounter!! The people in the kitchen are just not cooking, but creating a culinary experience that I haven't had in a long time. For someone who has to eat at the top steak houses in each city for work meetings, it was wonderful just to experience good food prepared with passion. By the way, Asha, our bartender, was the best!!! Thanks again, and we will be back soon!!

   This place was everything and more! I was coming by myself and it was my birthday and when I got seated there was a note from the restaurant telling me happy birthday. My server Jeff was great and helped me pick out my meal and made me a delicious drink! The food was sooo delicious! I got the mussels as an appetizer and the trout and Brussels as my main. I will 100% be returning by. Thank you for a great birthday!❤️

   Great experience. Matthew had great recommendations and customer service. Be sure to try the heart beet cocktail, fried ribs, chile and garlic shrimp, and the blackened Carolina trout. Also be sure to go see the history of the Friendship Nine next door!

   It was a great time, we enjoyed ourselves and the serve went out of his way to accommodate a request from the lunch menu. However the end wasn’t to great. We ordered dessert to go paid and waited for our bag with the dessert and our left overs. We got a bad and left. Once we got home we discovered that only our leftovers were in the bag. When we attempted to call back we were put on hold and no one returned to the phone.

   Another great experience at Kounter! I had two friends visiting. One had been to Kounter with me before and wanted to go again with her friend who had never been. I am always happy to go there. We went at 1:45pm on a Friday. The food was delicious and my first-time friend loved the experience, too. The service was great. Brandy was with us and is always efficient and personable. We started with the tots (my fav) and the fried ribs. We then had the salmon salad, chicken. sandwich and grilled cheese. We each shared a bite and all was spectacular. I have had nothing but exceptional food at Kounter. It is my go-to restaurant in town, especially with people who are not from the area. The historical element is a bonus, and I always take new friends through the Friendship 9 display. It's always moving, and I am proud to share that moment in history with people. It's paramount that we learn and do not forget. Thank you, Kounter, for another fantastic afternoon!

    We came in about 30-45 mins till close on a Tuesday night. Being in the service industry ourselves, we were prepared to order and get out of their way. Everyone from the front to the back of the house were very gracious and patient. We didn’t feel a single bit rushed, (we did not drag it out, out of respect) and had a delicious as usual experience!
