Good quick meal out. Large portions of food. Everything acceptable, but nothing exceptional.

The setting is lovely and the food and drink was great. We couldn't get our first choice of wine, but the replacement was fine. My only issue is the fact that the restaurant does not take cash, and for this reason I would not return.

We have made a booking through the Open Table site for a Team Lunch for 4. There was also a birthday to celebrate. Confirmation of the booking was received via email and we have arrived promptly on the day. Only to find the restaurant closed! I can't express how disappointing it was. We had to find an alternative place where we could eat and celebrate. The whole experience has affected the atmosphere. Sickness happens and in times of Covid it can effect many people. It is poor management though not to put online bookings on hold and not recognizing the mistake to the point that a follow up email was sent out asking about our experience on the day. Well, we were not impressed and would not visit or recommend Kupp to anyone in the future.

We are so sorry to read this - We honestly thought we had contacted everyone when we had to close -so can only apologise that you were missed out as that shouldn't have happened. It's a shame that you have decided not to visit us again - we have been busy recruiting some lovely people and our team would love to see you again and make up for it. Thanks again for the review - even though it is obviously a terrible one, we do listen and do our very best to learn, especially in these strange times!

Terrible service, had to go up to bar several times to ask for more drinks. Poor choice of beers. Food OK.

Service was shocking. Hardly any customers but the staff weren’t paying attention to anyone really. When we finished our meal a chap came and asked if we wanted anything else, we said no and he walked off without clearing the table. 2 more staff walked past and did the same. Shame as venue is very pretty and food was good. Staff really let it down.

Was hoping for some fresh tasty scandi food. That was not what we got. Perhaps we should have ordered the sharing platters but as there were three of us that wasn’t practical. I had a wired thing which was listed as a mushroom tart but in fact was a square of puff pastry on which some fried mushrooms had been on top of. The beef burgers were poor quality and the coffee was like the canal water outside. Staff were lovely!

Closed without telling us. Strongly recommend checking they intend to open directly with restaurant (although judging by the reviews of others who HAVE managed to eat there maybe book somewhere else). No apology when I called, standing outside the restaurant with friends coming over from across London, just some mumbled explanation about staff shortages and Covid meaning they have decided to run reduced hours for a while now and that there is a sign on the door.

Absolutely terrible. Took us over an hour and a half to have our food made in what was an empty restaurant. Service actively ignored you. Most tables walked out. Would not recommend.

Good food and very friendly but poor service overall - not the fault of the staff there but they seemed very understaffed and the new member of staff was clearly very new. A welcome apology was given in the form of a discount in recognition of the long wait time.
