The food is absolutely to die for! Mussels were incredible as well as the duck confit being one of the richest meals I’ve ever tasted. However, do not choose this restaurant if you are in a time crunch or have plans after dinner! My date and I arrived on time for our reservation on Saturday evening and we’re not seated for almost an hour! This was the case for the couple sitting next to us at the bar as well. But if you are willing to wait, the experience is well worth it.

Very busy and had to wait for our table. The service was excellent. The trout was almost inedible - covered in vegetables and onion chips. The beef bourguignon was just okay. A bit disappointed this visit.

I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience at La Belle Helene was truly exceptional—easily one of the best French dining experiences I’ve ever had. I came here to celebrate my birthday, and we ran into a little hiccup with our reservation being booked for two instead of four. Despite it being an incredibly busy evening, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. They welcomed us warmly, asked us to wait briefly at the bar, and then found us a perfect spot to enjoy an amazing meal. The service was impeccable, and the food was outstanding! Everything on the menu is a win, but I highly recommend asking for the dessert of the day—it’s the perfect way to end a meal. Thank you to the team at La Belle Helene for making my birthday so memorable. Five stars all around, especially for the incredible service! I can’t wait to come back!

I wonder if the chef had changed. The amazing bouillabaisse is not on the menu and so we ordered the crab Louie, trout and the steak burger. The crab dish was excellent. The trout was ok; I’ve had it before and was very meh. A thin sliver of fish with greasy fried onions on top. The burger was absolutely terrible. It was supposed to have caramelized onions and fondue cheese on it. Instead of a nice thick steak burger, it was two skinny, over salted patties, that reminded me of Burger King. And I tasted zero cheese nor did I see any onions. It was awful. Floored how bad the food was this visit. We’ve been many times but probably won’t go back. And no bread for the table either. Did we need to order that? What happened? I guess no surprise that it’s now super easy to get a reservation here. Wake up management this is going south.

My reservation for 20 people was made for 4pm. La Belle Helene booked another party in the room we were at for 6pm. So basically we were rushed to eat and be out of there by 5 30pm. I didn't like that. We paid a lot of money and didn't get to experience a calm evening because of this. I didnt want to be rushed to leave as soon as we came pretty much.

I reserved this lunch for my new co-head and his candidate looking to work with us. The two came back and told me how outstanding their lunch was! They each had your onion soup on a cold, rainy day and loved it. These lunches can make all the difference in how a candidate's experience goes when interviewing and this lunch helped make it a wonderful day! Thank you as always! Fantastic first impression. Service was perfection (Thank you Phil), food came swiftly and was spot on. Absolutely no complaints. The esthetic was so modern and chic. Noise level was so low even with the open concept. We hope to visit again next time we come to Charlotte, NC.
