Opened in 2006 by 8 time James Beard Award Nominee, Chef James Campbell Caruso.
La Boca has the feel of a lively European wine bar, featuring an extensive selection of carefully chosen Spanish wines and Sherries. Chef Caruso's Modern Spanish Cuisine is inspired by the exuberance of Spanish cooking combined with fresh, local ingredients. La Boca has been  called "the most influential restaurant in Santa Fe" by the Pasatiempo Magazine and the New York Times describes the menu as "modern re-inventions of classic Spanish cuisine" Knowledgeable and animated staff graciously guide guests to the perfect wine to complement their meals. La Boca also prides itself on being an ambassador of Spanish sherry culture, transporting its guests to Jerez in the crisp cool flavors of Fino, or the deep fig-essence of a Pedro Ximenez.

    It is a very good restaurant. Interesting food and delicious. A bit too small. Tables inside are too close together and it is hard for people to move around tables.

    The lunch special was amazing and spot on! The service was on point, and I appreciated the wine recommendation to pair with my food. I highly recommend this restaurant and can not wait to go back again.

    The food is excellent. The restaurant was very crowded and very overbooked. And noisy. Many people lingering at their tables, hence many others standing in tiny doorway waiting for Their own reservations. And to be seated. Either the management must find a gracious way to ask them to not linger, or spread out the timing of the reservations.

    La Boca never disappoints. So many great items on the menu, and the servers are all attentive and pleasant. Food comes out quickly. Great wine list

    Love this place. My only criticism would be too many children! It seemed like 1/2 the restaurant was children!

    Creative small plates and we still took some food home. Best mushroom soup you’ll ever eat with plenty of smoked paprika. Drinks and wine selection is excellent. Our waiter gave us advice that we were so grateful for. An amazing g meal all around!

    If you visit Santa Fe and are seeking an effervescent atmosphere and fabulous tapas to share, don’t miss La Boca. It’s where lots of locals go and that’s a great recommendation. We celebrated our 40th anniversary and the hostess and our waitress doted on us! Very very special evening with folks who genuinely love working together and also love the food and drinks they share.
