Opened in 2006 by 8 time James Beard Award Nominee, Chef James Campbell Caruso.
La Boca has the feel of a lively European wine bar, featuring an extensive selection of carefully chosen Spanish wines and Sherries. Chef Caruso's Modern Spanish Cuisine is inspired by the exuberance of Spanish cooking combined with fresh, local ingredients. La Boca has been  called "the most influential restaurant in Santa Fe" by the Pasatiempo Magazine and the New York Times describes the menu as "modern re-inventions of classic Spanish cuisine" Knowledgeable and animated staff graciously guide guests to the perfect wine to complement their meals. La Boca also prides itself on being an ambassador of Spanish sherry culture, transporting its guests to Jerez in the crisp cool flavors of Fino, or the deep fig-essence of a Pedro Ximenez.

    La Boca never disappoints. So many great items on the menu, and the servers are all attentive and pleasant. Food comes out quickly. Great wine list

    Love this place. My only criticism would be too many children! It seemed like 1/2 the restaurant was children!

    Creative small plates and we still took some food home. Best mushroom soup you’ll ever eat with plenty of smoked paprika. Drinks and wine selection is excellent. Our waiter gave us advice that we were so grateful for. An amazing g meal all around!

    If you visit Santa Fe and are seeking an effervescent atmosphere and fabulous tapas to share, don’t miss La Boca. It’s where lots of locals go and that’s a great recommendation. We celebrated our 40th anniversary and the hostess and our waitress doted on us! Very very special evening with folks who genuinely love working together and also love the food and drinks they share.

    We went based on a recommendation about it being good for gluten free (my partner, whose birthday it was). Mentioned it to our server and she said she’d let us know if anything we ordered wasn’t gluten free. We ordered way too much but couldn’t help ourselves. Every damn dish was amazing. Our server was super helpful and personable. Atmosphere was great too! Would highly recommend!

    My experience at La Boca is always phenomenal. I have spent the Christmas and New Year period in Santa Fe for 4 years, and I always make a reservation at La Boca to share the food, music and wine with friends. I know that I will find impeccable service and fantastic tapas.

    The food and the service were outstanding. Their are two dining areas; one on the street and one in the rear courtyard. We were in the latter where they also had an excellent guitarist/singer, Nacha Mendez. We shared a Paella and several tapas plates and all were excellent. I would recommend this restaurant very highly and look forward to our next visit.

    Our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe. Fun, lovely food and wine experience. Definitely get the Lamb Meatballs and Kale Salad.

    We are at La Boca several times a year and we love their tapas menu and a nice selection of Spanish wines. Favorites are the tabla mista and the New Mexico hanger steak. They also have a great paella. The wait staff is always knowledgeable and professional.
