Innovativo

A restaurant that's still winning awards after more than 40 years must be doing something right. Part of (but not owned by) the Holiday Inn in Glasgow's Theatreland, La Bonne Auberge epitomises the smart French Mediterranean brasserie with its brick work, wrought iron, black boards and waiters in French black waistcoats and white aprons. The food is both good quality and affordable; a lot of Scotch beef and rib-eye steak is sold. The AA liked it so much that they've awarded executive chef Gerry Sharkey an AA Rosette. Families, tourists, hotel guests and business people are among the usual, buzzy crowd. La Bonne Auberge opens daily from 7am for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Overall a very good experience. The food was great and the service in the main attentive. My wife said the pan fried salmon was one of the most delicious things she had ever tasted. I had the rib eye stake which was excellent too. We both had the pate to start and given the large portion, 2 wee triangles of toast wasn't really enoughOnly slight downside was that we ordered a bottle of Prosecco and only found out they didn't have any when, after a 10 minute wait, we asked where it was. The Cava replacement was very nice though. Would happily recommend to friends.

Great location for lunch in Glasgow city centre. Lovely food, and excellent service. A bit quiet as it was a weekday lunch time!

Good food in a nice setting. The selection on the menu was good with a choice of a la Carte or fixed price. Would definitely visit again.

We had a great meal at LBA. Not exactly cheap but I suppose you get what you pay for.

We had booked this for Xmas Eve for us and our Son. We had been to the restaurant just two nights before for a family meal. Service was very good, the meal was excellent and could not fault it. A good start to Xmas.

This is a long established restaurant. It is easy to see why. It is always a safe bet for a good meal. We had a lovely night here.

Visited with my wife for a "Date Night" and we were impressed with the food and polite service. We'd definitely return in the future, with guests if the opportunity arises.
