   from the front door that would not close after people came in and allowed cold air to come in -we had to close it five times as the staff didn't seem to notice that it was open. to then the owner informing us that he had opened the nearby window as it was getting to warm (?) inside the restaurant - i knew we were in tough. they were out of avocados so could not make guacamole - which was part of many of the dishes so we were offered rice up as a substitute for that. three of our main dishes came well before a bowl of soup for my wife that would have seemed like the thing that would have come first. one dish came without the sides that were listed on the menu - including the rice sub. we had drinks that were decent but were never asked if we'd like more drinks once they were finished. when we asked for water we were given a bottle filled with water and assured glasses were coming but they never showed up. service is not a big part of this restaurant. the actual food is mediocre and the price of the individual tacos is about $1.00 - $2.00 more than they should be for what you get. the food is fine but not much above a tourist restaurant in PV. as someone who has eaten a lot of mexican food in throughout mexico - oaxaca city, mexico city, etc. this food is just kinda regular. i believe they would mainly like to serve drinks and some food along the way. our server was pleasant enough but we didn't see her much after our initial chat and ordering with her. the gentleman that issued me the bill seemed like i was asking him to do something beneath him. there have been a few restaurants in this space over the years and i think this will just be another one. somehow i tipped 20 percent despite my feelings - feelings that got worse and worse as i drove home.

   Bad wine list. Mediocre good. Chips are too thick and cold. Sauces should be in bowls. Not a great happy hour. I would choose the one on Granville Island in a heart beat. Margaritas not bad. No grand marnier. Sad. It’s cold in there and the menus are dirty. Total 3/10

   We didn’t actually dine at the restaurant. When we arrived for our 7 pm reservation they informed us that there was a private function from 7 pm onwards for the entire restaurant. OpenTable and the restaurant should not have accepted our reservation request.

   These were the most authentic tacos I’ve had since I moved to Canada and the service was great. Will go back soon

   The food was amazing, the place is very eclectic and on point, the service was great and the drinks were some of the best we have had…a really great date night or casual hang spot…love it!

   the food was delicious. I had the Quesada with Asada and Chorizo. Also had a mock margarita that was very refreshing
