Chef Manrico's passion is inspired by the love for his home region of Pescara, Abruzzo. The flavors, scents and the colors of the neighborhood, ‘Borgo Marino’, is where his inspiration came from. Cooking in the early mornings on the fishing boats, savoring the smell of the land and sea is where it all began.     Food was pretty good. After she took our orders and brought us our food, the waitress did not check on us at all. The restaurant had multiple empty tables and was not busy at all. Had to ask for water refill. The party next to us received lots of attention from wait staff. The service should be much better for the price.

    We went for Valentine’s Day and the restaurant had a set menu with 2 options for the appetizer, and 2 for the entree. We ordered the antipasti, scallops, risotto and lasagna. Service was good. Overall, the food was okay. The menu however, was overpriced. For 4 dishes (antipasti, scallops, risotto, lasagna) and dessert, $75 a person was quite steep. I can’t comment on the quality and value for the regular menu, but the Valentine’s Day menu was not worth the price.

    This was a wonderful find! The service was outstanding. The ambiance and food were so authentic that it was like being back in Italy. I highly recommend this restaurant for a great meal and for a lovely date night, (and cap it off with a very tasty, tawny port)!

    A cozy Italian spot in North Burnaby. Staff are friendly and warm. The space is nicely done and the food was great. Really enjoyed the Bistecca, a 14 oz Rib Eye, perfect medium rare, as ordered. Tagliatelle with Italian sausage was also very tasty. We’ll be back to explore the menu.

    Amazing food as always.....meatballs paired with a salad was the perfect lunch. Owners and staff are exceptional people.

    Went here for fist time because my daughter is at sfu and wanted a close place to meet to celebrate birthday. booked a res for 12:30 and when we showed we were the only customers in the place. that scared us!! But it was early and a monday in january. THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT !! We tried three different pastas and all were good. the place is clean and decor is nice. Why isn’t this place packed. I will go back!!

    I have been here many times, and staff had always been great. But our last time, the experience with 1 server wasn’t too great! She spoke to us as if we don’t belong to this place, bit louder and constantly checking on us.. we didn’t experience that here. Something wasn’t right… Maybe she was having a rough day, but it surely made us leave very quickly. I love your great food! I’ll come again or maybe take out 😛

    La Forchetta is a neighborhood gem. We go there for date nights, birthdays, anniversaries, or just any random night. The food and the service is always top notch and we’ve never had a bad experience. The pasta is made fresh daily and you can tell that they only use quality ingredients. I am a little scared to sing their praises in fear the word will get out, but, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. If you go, you will not be disappointed!!

    Fantastic dinner last night. Our lovely server started us off with some yummy blueberry peach mocktails (that we just had to have at least two of!) then we completely finished our delicious meals. I had the amazing crab linguine and she had the delicious baccala in tomatoes with a green salad. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Will definitely be back💋
