Chef Manrico's passion is inspired by the love for his home region of Pescara, Abruzzo. The flavors, scents and the colors of the neighborhood, ‘Borgo Marino’, is where his inspiration came from. Cooking in the early mornings on the fishing boats, savoring the smell of the land and sea is where it all began.     Amazing food as always.....meatballs paired with a salad was the perfect lunch. Owners and staff are exceptional people.

    Went here for fist time because my daughter is at sfu and wanted a close place to meet to celebrate birthday. booked a res for 12:30 and when we showed we were the only customers in the place. that scared us!! But it was early and a monday in january. THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT !! We tried three different pastas and all were good. the place is clean and decor is nice. Why isn’t this place packed. I will go back!!

    I have been here many times, and staff had always been great. But our last time, the experience with 1 server wasn’t too great! She spoke to us as if we don’t belong to this place, bit louder and constantly checking on us.. we didn’t experience that here. Something wasn’t right… Maybe she was having a rough day, but it surely made us leave very quickly. I love your great food! I’ll come again or maybe take out 😛

    La Forchetta is a neighborhood gem. We go there for date nights, birthdays, anniversaries, or just any random night. The food and the service is always top notch and we’ve never had a bad experience. The pasta is made fresh daily and you can tell that they only use quality ingredients. I am a little scared to sing their praises in fear the word will get out, but, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. If you go, you will not be disappointed!!

    Fantastic dinner last night. Our lovely server started us off with some yummy blueberry peach mocktails (that we just had to have at least two of!) then we completely finished our delicious meals. I had the amazing crab linguine and she had the delicious baccala in tomatoes with a green salad. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Will definitely be back💋

    The food, service and table were all excellent. They were able to adjust the meal to meet our dietary restrictions. A nice place to catch up with a couple friends.

    We really enjoyed the food at La Forchetta. They were a bit overwhelmed when we dined on New Year's Eve, but the menu is great and the people are lovely. We will definitely return!

    We, three girlfriends, went there for an early dinner. The service was very attentive, and the homemade ravioli was refreshing and exquisite! I highly recommend it for lovers of authentic Italian home cooking.

    This is our new favourite Italian restaurant in North Burnaby. The food was delicious, and truly traditional with its flavours and taste. The service was good, but a little overbearing honestly. I understand our servers wanted to treat us politely and welcome us, but the one lady introduced herself and the other server three times to us. We just wanted to chat amongst ourselves because it had been months since we've seen each other, but the constant "checking in" seemed overbearing at times. We will be back nonetheless because the food was excellent!
