Experience modern, coastal Italian cuisine at Fort Lauderdale's newest hot spot, La Fuga. Chef Michael Mayer infuses local South Florida flavors with classic Italian staples to create a fusion of crave-worthy, contemporary dishes.

La Fuga, (Italian for "the escape,") is nestled in the heart of the Kimpton Shorebreak, named in homage to the location’s historic beginnings. The newly renovated Kimpton Shorebreak occupies a unique space in Fort Lauderdale, originally opened as The Escape Hotel in 1949.

La Fuga pays tribute to it's origin story in name and also in atmosphere. Featuring midcentury design, and a laid-back vibe, the indoor-outdoor dining room includes views of the hotel's scenic courtyard and provides access to a rooftop pool overlooking Fort Lauderdale’s intercoastal.

Service and atmosphere were great but honestly the food was disappointing. My fiancé and I are not ones who cheap out on a nice dinner but we honestly thought the price points were insane for the amount/taste of the food. We got the octopus appetizer and it barely had two full pieces of octopus. I got the lobster ravioli as my entree and it was very dry, had to ask for more sauce. The inside of the ravioli was not creamy at all, really reminded me of canned tuna. Would not recommend.

Wowowowowowowowowowow! Pure perfection. In every way!!!!! Wow!!!! James and Kevin were absolutely incredible and the food and SERVICE and hospitality were like no other. They were absolutely amazing. James even got my 13 year old son to laugh! Kudos to La Fuga for everything it is and stands for. From Ambiance to food to the incredible staff a billion stars! Especially James!!!! If you going request him as you waiter/ friend!!!! Enjoy!

Ambiance and greeting staff were what you'd expect for beautiful Ft. Lauderdale; however, waiter and a couple of entrees were underwhelming.

The server was a little late in providing water and taking our order, but from that point on the service was excellent. The live music was enjoyable.

Great music and atmosphere. Food was a bit on the pricey side considering what it is, Italian food. Service was okay. The supporting team (bartenders, food runners, hostesses) were very nice and seemed to enjoy serving the public. Our server didn’t do much more than take the order. It was correct, so I guess that is a good thing. Probably will go back, but will sit at the bar.

La Fuga is a hidden hotspot at the Kimpton Shorebreak! Excellent food, cocktails and wine in a lovely setting (outside by the pool is fantastic!), and great, attentive and caring service.

Sat out by the pool at dusk. Truly lovely setting. Excellent service. Everything we ordered was delicious, including dessert ( Panna Cotta is out of this world!) The finest dining near Ft Lauderdale Beach. Heads up: Be prepared to pay $23 for a shot of fine tequila.
