Housed in Chicago’s Belle Époque building, the unique Art Nouveau-inspired space honors the iconic building’s legacy while providing guests with a one-of-a-kind atmosphere and menu. La Grande Boucherie blends the ambiance of an indulgent steakhouse with a refined Parisian brasserie charm, and fuses traditional French cuisine with Chicago’s River North culinary heritage.               We were a party of 6 for brunch right at 11 on Sunday. Mando and team were welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was excellent. Our table had oysters, steak and eggs, a croque madame, jambon and gruyère sandwich, french toast with mixed berries, beef bourguignon, and a burger - plus mimosas and mocktails. Two of us had tea service with a shared pot of water, individual tea bags, and individual little pots of honey. Bottomless mimosas for a few of us were lovely too. Best, they brought a slice of cheesecake for our birthday girl and sang happy birthday and feliz cumpleaños, and then later las mañanitas. It was a delightful end to the birthday weekend.

              The service was great. The food was amazing, as well. We had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. The lobster bisque was delicious. The only issue was the bread which was a bit doughy on the inside and hard on the crust.

              This restaurant is absolutely beautiful. For atmosphere, I would definitely give it 5 stars. The service was also great. We had the Lyonnaise Salad that was the best I've ever had- not sure where they get their bacon but it is to die for! My children had the Pappardelle Bolognese that was so delicious, we ordered an extra one. We also had the steak that was not bad but I would suggest sticking to the French options and leave the steak for a true Chicago steakhouse. Overall though, very beautiful restaurant and a lovely evening!

              Impeccable service! Food was very good and the restaurant was gorgeous. I did appreciate that it wasn’t extremely loud where we were seated and had the pleasure of a window seat as well. Very much enjoyed the dining experience!
