Located at 699 14th Street on the coveted corner of 14th and G Street NW, La Grande Boucherie is situated on the most high-profile street in Washington D.C., just one block away from the White House. The restaurant is built in elegant and ornamental Art Nouveau style, evoking the sense of optimism from the turn of the 20th century. The brasserie’s menu features both classic and modern French dishes, with focus on the meat program, raw bar and extravagant large-format meats, ideal for sharing and celebrating. Mahogany wood and glass partitions divide the gargantuan space to create intimate dining experiences. These pieces are adorned in gilded accents and uniquely curved arches inspired by the 20th-century Art Nouveau movement of Paris. The main dining room highlights a massive curved bar with a metal top imported from Paris, a signature piece of Boucherie.

                      Service was incredibly slow, for example it took 20 mins to get our first drinks. The French onion soup was incredible. The bread here is bad. The steak frites - steak was hammered and so tough. I only took a few bites. The frites were tasty. Never got a chance to tell my server that my steak was essentially inedible. The beef bourginon was worse than something I make at home. The restaurant itself is beautiful and they had live music which was lovely. Disappointing food and service for such a high end restaurant.

                      La Grande Boucherie in DC offers a stunning dining experience with incredible food and beautiful decor that truly set the mood. We started with the duck prosciutto, which was a deliciously unique appetizer. For our main courses, we enjoyed the steak frites and the French dip sandwich—both were flavorful and cooked to perfection. Our server was friendly and attentive, though we would have appreciated being checked on a bit more throughout the meal. Overall, it was a lovely evening, and we’re excited to return for another visit!

                      The staff did not pay attention to detail, we were served hot milk with our tea, even though we specifically asked for cold milk.

                      One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had in DC. We had a reservation for 2 months, but were sat 35 mins late. The service was sub optimal. They kept pouring still water into our sparking water glasses, they forgot two of our side dishes, they messed up a few orders, and the wait time to receive our food was too long. It took an additional 30 minutes for us to have them fix our bill since they twice brought us the wrong bill and added items we did not order. Overall, the food was very poorly prepared. Low quality cuts of meat, poor flavoring, and not a great presentation. This kitchen seems to have cut every corner they could to charge obscene prices for barely edible food. The only upside of the entire night was ambience of the setting, which was stunning. This was a one and done for us. We will be sharing this intel with our friends and clients.

                      I came here to eat dinner with my best friend. The food and atmosphere was amazing. I recommend to save space for dessert as well. Steven our server was extremely friendly. I would recommend this place for larger groups or date nights!

                      It’s a beautiful space and the decor was very nice. Drinks were good although I couldn’t taste the absinthe in my absinthe cocktail. Coq au vin was good, fries were good. Bolognese was lukewarm, burger was ordered medium rare but came out well done, mac and cheese was lukewarm. Service was fine.

                      Didn’t start as well as I hoped with a 30 minute wait past my reservation time and tough to get a drink at the bar. Once seated everything improved significantly. Great service, food although expensive was very good. Recognized we were celebrating our anniversary. Half price wine bottles and great recommendations. If I lived in DC or NYC I would be back again soon

                      The only negative about this restaurant was it was EXTREMELY crowded. As in they had tables so close together someone in the table next to you had to hold on to their tablecloth so you didn’t pull it off just trying to get to your seat. Other than it our experience was a 10/10!

                      The dishes were filthy, service noisy, and food subpar. Even IHOP offers better value and service than this ‘fancy’ establishment.
