    An excellent lunchtime experience. Exceeded our expectations with original and innovation flavors. Delicious dishes with high quality ingredients and tasteful presentation. Not precious "tweezer" style food but cuisine that feels familiar. Deceptively different in the best of ways. It is difficult to describe what the food is like since it is so unique.

    Great tasting and interesting. Unlike so many restaurants, the noise level was reasonable enough to carry on a conversation without yelling.

    Really lovely experience. It was our first visit to La Mer and we will return often. Our main entree was outstanding! The catch of the day, halibut, served with seafood on a corn mash. And the dessert, OMG!! Unbelievably delicious.

    Wonderful Peruvian restaurant! Extraordinary food, authentic, tasteful, beautiful arranged dishes. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Great Ambiente. Highly recommend to experience this restaurant.

    The food was incredible! That tomahawk steak was delicious, as were all of the appetizers. Our waiter was super knowledgeable and gave us great suggestions. We will definitely go back and bring friends!

    I visited La Mar in Bellevue for lunch with a friend. Given its high-end reputation, I wanted to try it for lunch first before committing to an expensive dinner. Ambiance: The place is beautifully decorated and pleasantly quiet during lunchtime, making for a relaxed dining experience. Service: Service was extremely attentive, sometimes a bit too much. Different staff members kept coming to clear plates and refill water glasses, which felt a little overbearing at times. This level of attention can be seen as either a pro or a con depending on your preference for privacy. Food: First Course: I had the Cabiche Clasico with fresh halibut. Initially chewy, the fish became tender and delicious after sitting in the acidic sauce for about 15 minutes. Second Course: I chose Pescado a lo Macho. The seafood was perfectly prepared with a flavorful sauce and delicious rice on the side. Even though I'm not a big fan of carbs, the rice was amazing. Overall: La Mar offers unique and flavorful food with great service. I think it's a solid restaurant and I'll definitely be back.
