Jutting from a massive rock outcropping above the desert floor the La Quinta Cliffhouse is renowned for its spectacular views across the valley and providing a lively, casual destination to enjoy a menu of American classics with innovative preparations focused on premium steaks and seafood at great prices.                                                                                                     After 19 years in the desert, we finally dined at the Cliff House. It is a quality dining experience. I particularly liked the half portions on some of the mains. The service was good and the ambiance spectacular.

Celebrating an anniversary and given a complimentary dessert. The sea bass and salmon were outstanding with beautiful presentation. Thank you for a memorable evening!

                                                                                                    The Cliffhouse delivered an outstanding evening. The setting is stunning, carved into the cliffs with a warm, welcoming vibe. Service was excellent—attentive and professional. Every dish we had was flavorful and beautifully presented. A perfect spot for a romantic night or special dinner. Highly recommend!

                                                                                                    So I've dined at the Cliff House four times now, every time absolutely delicious and I have nothing to complain about food wise or service wise. I took my mother here for her birthday and she loved it. She got me gift certificates 2 years in a row. $100 each. Cliff House is not inexpensive. So we saved the gift certificates to go out for a really nice dinner last weekend. The bill came out just about perfect. $212. Then the waitress came back and told me that one of the gift certificates had already been used. I knew for a fact that I hadn't used it, but instead of causing a stink and more embarrassment we just paid cash for the rest of the dinner. I called today only to find out that yes the gift certificate was still good. They hadn't loaded any money into it when my mom bought it. So now I have a $100 gift certificate. That's awesome! Except as I said, it's not an expensive place to eat, we already spent $100 of our own money and now when we go back we're going to have to spend another $100 of our own money if we want a decent dinner. Truth be told, I'm not even 100% sure that it will work when we go there and we won't be stuck paying another $100 we shouldn't have to spend. I'm disappointed to say the least.
